BTS V takes tests by fellow soldiers to sign his autographs for them

V from BTS has enlisted in the South Korean military along with the other BTS members. Fans are eagerly following news about the K-pop idol while he serves. Recently, a fellow soldier shared that V is fun and likes to test his comrades before giving autographs.

According to a post by the soldier, there are some necessary steps soldiers have take to obtain V’s autograph. The process involves writing your name on a post-it note to request an autograph from V. Executive officers are allowed to request up to five autographs, while assistant officers can request up to two. However, V doesn’t just give out his autograph, as disclosed by the soldier. If an assistant officer requests an autograph from the BTS member, they must first take a quiz in order to receive it.

BTS’ V mischievously forces them to take a quiz to receive his autograph, in which he asks things such as what the names of BTS members are and what the title of a BTS song is, and if they don’t answer right, he chases them out with other troops.

BTS’ V started his military service on December 11, 2023. After his enlistment, he collaborated with American artist UMI on a song called wherever u r which he featured in. V made his solo debut with his album Layover.

Hours After Quitting As Himachal Minister, Virbhadra Singh’s Son Hits Pause

In signs of a thaw in the infighting-riddled Himachal Pradesh unit of the Congress, state minister Vikramaditya Singh has decided not to “press his resignation” hours after tendering it. He pointed out, however, that there is a difference between taking back his resignation and deciding not to press for it being accepted.

Six Congress MLAs had cross-voted in favour of the BJP candidate in the Rajya Sabha election on Tuesday, leading to the party suffering a stunning defeat.

Amid a possible threat to the survival of the Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu government, Mr Singh had announced his resignation as the Public Works minister on Wednesday morning. The minister had accused Mr Sukhu of “negligence” towards MLAs and disrespecting his late father and former chief minister Virbhadra Singh.

After a day of high drama, Mr Singh said in the evening, “I have spoken to the observers that were sent by the party high command. The organisation is more important than one individual. Keeping the organisation strong is every individual’s responsibility. In the larger interest of the party and the unity of the party, I will not press my resignation that was rejected by the chief minister earlier today.”

When reporters asked him whether this meant the threat to the government was over, the minister said, “There was no crisis to begin with. It was a creation. A solution can be found to everything if people work together and take a positive approach. We are here to serve the people of the state and governing is the way to do that. Strengthening the government and serving the people by doing so is everyone’s responsibility.”

Sounding a cautionary note while speaking to news agency ANI, the minister said there is a difference between taking back his resignation and deciding not to press it. “I have said I have spoken to the observers and I will not be pressing my resignation until a final decision is taken.

Rajiv Shukla, Congress’ Himachal in-charge, however, said that the government has a majority and there is no threat to it.

‘Disrespect’

Earlier in the day, Mr Singh had asserted that the 2022 Assembly polls in Himachal were fought and won in the name of his father and former chief minister Virbhadra Singh, who was the tallest Congress leader in the state. After the Congress won 40 out of the 68 Seats, Vikramaditya Singh and his mother Pratibha SIngh, who is the state party chief, were among the frontrunners for the chief minister’s post, but lost out to Mr Sukhu.

“In the past year, I have not said a word on the government’s functioning. But it is my responsibility to the people to speak out now… The way the government has functioned, the negligence towards MLAs, the drowning of their voices has led us to this point,” the minister had said.

An emotional Mr Singh had also accused the government of disrespecting Virbhadra Singh, alleging that it failed to find land to erect his statue.

Threat Parried?

The Sukhu government faced a major test on Wednesday, a day after six Congress MLAs cross-voted for the BJP Rajya Sabha candidate, Harsh Mahajan. Three Independents who were backing the government also voted for Mr Mahajan, leading to a tie of 34 votes each between him and the Congress’ Abhishek Manu Singhvi.

This spelled trouble for the government, which needed to get the Budget passed on Wednesday and knew that not being able to do so would prove that it lacked a majority in the House. It managed to stave off that threat, however, after 15 BJP MLAs were expelled from the Assembly for “sloganeering and misconduct”, allowing the Congress to have a working majority.

The Assembly was also then adjourned sine die, foiling a reported plan by the BJP to move a no-confidence motion.

“Can’t Pay Attention To A Country Soaked In Red”: India On Pakistan At UN

In a befitting reply to Pakistan, India exercised its ‘Right of Reply’ in response to references to New Delhi stating that the nation that has institutionalized the systemic persecution of its minorities and has a truly abysmal human rights record has no right to comment on India.

Exercising the ‘Right of Reply’ at the High-Level Segment of the 55th Regular Session of the UN Human Rights Council on Wednesday, First Secretary Anupama Singh said that regarding Pakistan’s lengthy mentions of India, it is very regrettable that the Council’s forum has once again been abused to propagate flagrantly false accusations about India.

“With regard to the extensive references to India made by Pakistan, we note that it is deeply unfortunate for the Council’s platform to have once again been misused to make patently false allegations against India,” she said.

“The entire Union Territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh is an integral and inalienable part of India, and the constitutional measures taken by the Government of India to ensure socio-economic development and good governance in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir are matters internal to India. Pakistan has no locus standi to pronounce on matters that are internal to India,” she added.

Terming Pakistan’s human rights record as “truly abysmal,” the First Secretary said, “A country that has institutionalized the systemic persecution of its own minorities and has a truly abysmal human rights record, commenting on India, which is demonstrably making great strides in achieving economic progress and social justice, is not merely ironical but perverse.”

“A glaring example was the large scale brutality perpetrated against the minority Christian community in Jaranwala city, Pakistan in August 2023, when 19 churches were gutted and 89 Christian houses burnt down. Three, a country that hosts and even celebrates UNSC-sanctioned terrorists, commenting on India whose pluralistic ethos and democratic credentials are exemplars for the world, is a contrast for everyone to see,” she said further.

Ms Singh also said that the government has failed to serve the actual interests of its citizens, and added that Pakistan sponsors terrorism around the world.

“We cannot pay any further attention to a country that speaks while being soaked in red the red of the bloodshed from the terrorism it sponsors around the world; the red of its debt-riddled national balance sheets; and the red of the shame its own people feel for their government having failed to serve their actual interests,” she concluded.

The 55th Regular Session of the UN Human Rights Council is taking place from February 26-April 5.

India had in August last year said that an environment free of terror and hostilities was imperative for normal ties with Pakistan.

Answering queries after the then Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had expressed his willingness to hold talks with India, the Ministry of External Affairs had said that India wants normal ties with all its neighbouring countries including Pakistan.

“We desire normal neighbourly relations with all our neighbours, including Pakistan. For this an environment free of terror and hostility is imperative,” a MEA spokesperson had said.

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar had said in an earlier interview with the news agency ANI that Pakistan’s future will be largely determined by its own actions and choices and it is for the neighbouring country to find a way out of its economic troubles.

Pakistan is currently grappling with economic difficulties including dwindling forex reserves, high inflation and sharp depreciation of its currency.
