India on Friday welcomed the US’s move to designate The Resistance Front (TRF), the group behind the Pahalgam terror attack, as a terrorist organisation and described the move as “a strong affirmation of India-US counter-terrorism operation”.

A day after Congress leader Rahul Gandhi claimed that Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma would be put in jail over alleged corruption, the latter was seen making a “thenga” — dismissive hand gesture — while rebutting Mr Gandhi’s claim.

Videos of the two groups, BJP and NCP(SP), pummeling each other and having to be dragged back by security personnel have been doing the rounds on social media.
