US President Trump reacted positively to Russian President Putin’s offer to contribute $1 billion to his proposed “Board of Peace,” suggesting he would accept if the funds were Putin’s own. Putin indicated frozen Russian assets could be used for this, and later to rebuild Ukraine. Trump signed the charter for the body, which aims to oversee peace efforts globally.
