The Supreme Court dismissed petitions requesting a judicial investigation, overseen by a retired SC judge, into the deadly terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam that resulted in 26 fatalities. The court admonished the petitioners for filing Public Interest Litigations, stating that judges lack expertise in terror case investigations and cautioned against demoralizing the forces with such petitions.

The Delhi High Court has found Yoga guru Ramdev in prima facie contempt for violating a previous order regarding his “sharbat jihad” remarks against Hamdard’s Rooh Afza. Justice Amit Bansal noted that Ramdev published a video with objectionable content despite the court’s directive prohibiting such statements. The court expressed strong disapproval of Ramdev’s remarks, deeming them “indefensible.””He (Ramdev) is not in control of anyone. He lives in his own world,” the judge remarked.
