Shah Rukh Khan reveals he makes BIG FILMS so that his ‘mom and dad can see it from heaven’; Know more

Shah Rukh Khan is a family man, and his loved ones are his priority. In a recent interview, he revealed that he desires to make big films as a filmmaker or act in them so that his parents can watch them from heaven.

Industry insiders and fans always admire King Khan’s humble nature and honest attitude. He has often mentioned how his family holds the utmost importance in his life. During a new interview at the Locarno Film Festival for their YouTube channel, Shah Rukh Khan revealed that his parents are the reason behind his desire to make and work in big films.

For those who may not know, SRK lost his parents at a young age before he became a star. However, he often revealed that he used to sit and watch films with his mother after his father’s death. Since his parents couldn’t see his work, the actor wanted to make big films that they could see from heaven.

He said, “I don’t know, for some reason, I always felt I will make films which are very big so that my mom and dad can see it from heaven and I still think my mom is a star and it works and I even know the star she is.”

SRK explained that he initially doubted his ability to portray the iconic character of Devdas, previously played by veteran actors like Dilip Kumar. However, he ultimately decided to take on the role because his mother admired the film’s storyline and would have been delighted to see him in that role.

The actor shared, “I don’t think mine is so brilliant and good, but despite a lot of senior actors telling me don’t do it, I just wanted to do it that you know maybe I think maybe I would feel like mom I did Devdas.”

Meanwhile, the Jawan actor’s Red Chillies Entertainment now holds the rights to Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s expensive 2002 film, Devdas. The actor bought it as a tribute to his mother. The Bollywood classic stars Shah Rukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, and Madhuri Dixit in the lead roles.

Gypsy Rose Blanchard Remembers Her Mother As She Prepares To Welcome First Child; Expresses Regret Over Dee Dee’s Lost Role as a Grandparent

Gypsy Rose Blanchard opens up about embracing motherhood while also sharing her regrets over her mother not being able to have a relationship with her daughter. During her appearance on the latest episode of The Viall Files, Blanchard claimed that she did want her mother, Dee Dee, to have a loving relationship with her daughter, who will be welcomed into the world soon.

While in the conversation with the podcast host, Blanchard claimed the situation with her mother to be “heartbreaking.” She went on to elaborate, “I mean, for me, it is heartbreaking because I do, from time to time, think about what could have been, and it makes me sad.”

Blanchard further added that she has been well-versed with the media questions, which emphasize what she would tell her daughter about her grandmother or why your mother is not around.

However, Gypsy claimed that her stepmother, Kristy Blanchard, “has become more of a mother to me than my own mother was.” She further added, “Kristy is going to be grandma.”

Meanwhile, Blanchard returned to her hometown in December 2023 after serving eight years in jail for stabbing her mother Dee Dee to death, alongside her longtime boyfriend, Nicholas “Nick” Godejohn. According to several medical reports, Dee Dee was suffering from severe mental conditions.

Moreover, Gypsy Rose reflected on being a victim of a lot of negative comments online. She said, “The one thing that just irritates me is the fact that people really have this stigma on, you know, new parents that have come from a life of trauma and the stigma of, oh, you know, ‘You had been through this, so you’re gonna continue on that cycle with your child.’”

She continued, “I think that’s so unfair to put that on someone because I’m a person that I’m taking the steps to make sure that I’m mentally stable enough to be a parent and heal myself.”

Rose Blanchard shares her child with her boyfriend, Ken Urker. The mom-to-be is quite excited for her daughter to join her on the earthly side, as while talking to People Magazine previously, she expressed her glee.

After Haryana Swearing-In Tomorrow, NDA’s Mega Show of Strength

Looking to keep up the pressure on the Opposition after the BJP pulled off a stunning victory in Haryana, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) will hold a meeting of all chief ministers and deputy chief ministers from the coalition in Chandigarh on Thursday, immediately after Nayab Singh Saini takes oath as the chief minister of the state for the second time.

The meeting, which comes ahead of the Maharashtra and Jharkhand Assembly elections, will be chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and attended by Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and BJP President JP Nadda, among others. While India’s development and celebrating the Constitution are also on the agenda, a notable item is the “year of 50th anniversary of the attempt to murder democracy” – a reference to the Emergency – which is seen as being aimed squarely at the Congress and the opposition INDIA alliance.

The BJP alone has 13 chief ministers and 16 deputy chief ministers and the others in attendance at the show of strength and unity will be the chief ministers of Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Sikkim, Nagaland and Meghalaya, who are from other NDA parties. A statement from the BJP said Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio will also “lead discussions”.

“Deliberations in this meeting will cover a structured agenda covering national development issues. It will also discuss subjects like the observance of Samvidhan Ka Amrut Mahotsav and the year of the 50th anniversary of the attempt to murder democracy,” the statement said.

Date Signalling

Mr Saini’s swearing-in ceremony and the meeting will both be held on Valmiki Jayanti, the birth anniversary of Maharishi Valmiki, the author of the Ramayan. The date, BJP sources said, has been carefully chosen to send a signal to Scheduled Castes, whose vote was seen as having tilted towards the INDIA bloc in the Lok Sabha elections, in which the BJP fell short of a majority for the first time in 10 years and had to settle for 240 seats.

The Congress, with its emphasis on the Constitution and narrative that the BJP wanted the NDA to have 400 MPs so it could make amendments and “end reservations”, bettered its tally to 99 while the INDIA alliance as a whole won 234.

The Opposition’s pitch seemed to have worked in Haryana as well, where the BJP was reduced to five out of the 10 Lok Sabha seats after its 2019 clean sweep, but things had changed by the time the Assembly elections were held a few months later. Defying exit poll predictions and battling perceived anti-incumbency and anger, the BJP managed to not only pull off a third straight win but also register its best-ever performance in the state.

BJP leaders said the Haryana elections were proof that the Scheduled Caste vote had returned to the party and the date of the swearing-in honours that. Dalit voters will also play a big role in the Maharashtra elections, which is seen as an uphill battle for the ruling BJP-Shiv Sena-NCP coalition but appears to have been made a little easier after the Haryana victory.
