Sambhal police arrested 14 men involved in a gang that exploited young women under the guise of tantric rituals for wealth. The victims, from various districts in Uttar Pradesh, were subjected to sexual exploitation. Authorities discovered videos and images of the victims. Investigations revealed the gang targeted financially vulnerable families, promising them monetary gains.

A civil engineer of the Indian Air Force was shot dead while sleeping at his official residence in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. An unidentified assailant fired through the window, leading to the victim’s death after being taken to the Army hospital. The incident is under investigation.
