Taylor Swift kicks off her Eras Tour concert in Florida, Miami, where she brought in Florence Welch as the surprise guest to grace the show. As the crowd cheered for Welch, she, along with Swift, crooned to Florida from the latter’s latest album, The Tortured Poets Department.
While it wasn’t the first time that the British singer shared the stage with Grammy winning singer, the pair also performed at the Eras Tour concert held at the Wembley Stadium in August.
Following her performance amongst the crowd, Welch put up a post on her social media account, thanking the pop icon for providing her with the opportunity to sing with her.
She also gave a shout-out to the audience in Florida. Alongside the video posted by the singer, she wrote, “FLORIDA!!! Thank you so much for having me, Taylor Swift.”
While the Shake It Out singer joined Swift on the stage, celebrities including Hoda Kotb, Savannah Guthrie, Jenna Bush Hager, Tom Brady, and Serena Williams enjoyed the show as spectators in the VIP box. Meanwhile, as Swift released her latest album, TTPD, in April, Welch, who crooned to the Florida track alongside the pop star, revealed to the media portal that while recording the song, she had completely forgotten of her status in the industry.
She explained, “I almost didn’t think of its scale. There’s the sort of bigness of [Taylor Swift the phenomenon], and then there’s the Taylor I spend time with in the studio, who is just the sweetest and most down to earth.”
Speaking of her experience working on the song with Swift, Welch recalled that the Anti-Hero crooner had approached her with “a concept and a story.” She revealed that the duo had a fun time creating the song, but the magic happened when the song came out. Sharing her reaction, Welch said, “And then when it came out, I was like, ‘Oh, s—!'”
Florence, meanwhile, appeared on the first night of the three that Swift will be performing at the venue. Next, the pop icon will head to New Orleans and then to Canada to conclude her Eras Tour, which began in March 2023.

Born to actors Dharmendra and Hema Malini, Esha Deol worked as an actor for several years before marrying businessman Bharat Takhtani in a low-key wedding ceremony in June 2012. Five years later, she announced her pregnancy in April 2017, and then on October 20 of the same year, they were blessed with their first child, a daughter they named Radhya. On the little girl’s big day today, we unearthed an old interview of the Dhoom actress wherein she said that her firstborn gives the ‘Deol look’ and makes her feel as if she is looking at herself in the mirror.
Back in 2018, months after birthday girl Radhya Takhtani was born, Esha Deol told Mumbai Mirror that their daughter was just like her. While excitedly talking about her newborn, the actress told the publication that the little one is a happy baby unless forced to do something she doesn’t like, just like her. “She’s very much my daughter and there are times when she gives me that Deol look with one eyebrow raised and I feel that I’m looking at myself in the mirror,” Esha said in the old interview.
The No Entry actress went on to recall that she hid her pregnancy with her family for nearly three months. But eventually, when she shared the good news with her mother Hema Malini, the senior actress divulged that she already knew about it since she has also been a mother. Sharing how her father, veteran star Dharmendra reacted when Radhya was born, Esha told the publication that he was like a teary teddy bear who rushed into her hospital room to meet his granddaughter. While the little one was born on October 20, the family, for the longest time, was under the impression that she would be born at the start of November.
But when Radhya came early, a day after Diwali, Esha’s husband Bharat Takhtani was elated as he didn’t want another Scorpion in his life. When quizzed who came up with their daughter’s name, Esha was quick to take credit. The Na Tum Jaano Na Hum actress divulged that days before the girl was born, she suggested the name Radhana which eventually became Radhya. Apart from the birthday girl, the celebrity couple also has another daughter named Miraya who was born in June 2019.
