Himalayan forests are experiencing an unprecedented winter fire season, breaking decades of predictable patterns. Uttarakhand has recorded the highest number of fire alerts nationwide since November 1, with December emerging as a particularly active month. Scientists attribute this alarming trend to climate variability intensifying natural fire cycles, indicating a significant ecological shift.
