Panic and desperation drove a Jaish operative to carry out the Delhi blast after security forces busted hideouts, recovering nearly 3,000kg of explosives. Sources suggest the bomb was hastily assembled, limiting its impact. The suspect, Dr. Umar, was identified from CCTV footage, and the explosives matched those found earlier.

Along with Umar, Dr Muzammil Ahmad Ganaie, Dr Adeel Majeed Rather and Dr Shaheen Shahid were also part of the “Faridabad module”.
