Everyone Has Seen SS Rajamouliâs RRR – Jesse Eisenberg

Hollywood actor Jesse Eisenberg has sparked excitement among Indian fans after openly expressing his admiration for SS Rajamouli’s massive hit RRR. Currently busy promoting the third instalment of the Now You See Me franchise, titled Now You See Me: Now You Don’t, the actor revealed that the Telugu epic has become a cultural phenomenon in the United States.

During promotional interviews, Eisenberg couldn’t stop praising Rajamouli’s film. “I think every American saw RRR,” he said. “It was incredible—this fascinating blend of Hollywood-style spectacle and uniquely Indian storytelling.” Despite having never visited India, he shared that his closest trip was to Nepal, adding with a smile, “I didn’t cross the border, but the experience was unforgettable.”

RRR has remained one of India’s biggest international successes, earning admiration from global icons like James Cameron and Steven Spielberg. Its Oscar-winning song Naatu Naatu, which clinched Best Original Song at the 95th Academy Awards in 2023, solidified the film’s impact worldwide.

Eisenberg also expressed gratitude for the warm reception his own films receive in India. “It’s amazing to know that the Now You See Me movies have such a huge fanbase here,” he said. Adding, “Isla and I have been part of these films for 13 years now, and everywhere we go, people tell us how much they love them. That’s why we wanted to return with another chapter.”

The latest movie, Now You See Me: Now You Don’t, brings back familiar faces including Woody Harrelson, Dave Franco, Isla Fisher, and Morgan Freeman, along with newer cast members such as Justice Smith, Ariana Greenblatt, Dominic Sessa, and Rosamund Pike. The story revolves around a high-stakes diamond heist that forces the original Four Horsemen to team up with a new generation of illusionists to take down a global criminal network.

The film premiered in the Netherlands on November 11 before opening globally on November 14, with Eisenberg’s comments about RRR adding to the buzz, especially among Indian moviegoers delighted by the Hollywood star’s appreciation for Rajamouli’s masterpiece.
