Israel says it is determined to destroy Iran’s nuclear capabilities in its military campaign, but that it also wants to avoid any nuclear disaster in a region that is home to tens of millions of people and produces much of the world’s oil.

Iran’s foreign minister will meet in Geneva on Friday with counterparts from Germany, France and the United Kingdom, Iranian state media and European diplomats said, as Israeli strikes target country’snuclearand military sites andIran fires back.

The Israeli military says it targeted the reactor’s core seal to stop it being used for “nuclear weapons development”.
