Ed Sheeran Joins Santhosh Narayanan Dhee and Hanumankind for Donât Look Down

Ed Sheeran’s latest musical move is winning hearts across India and beyond. The British hitmaker has collaborated with composer and singer Santhosh Narayanan, vocalist Dhee and rapper Hanumankind for a reimagined version of Don’t Look Down, featured on his Play The Remixes EP.

A Fusion That Breaks Borders

The track mixes Tamil, English and rap, offering a soundscape that feels fresh yet familiar. Santhosh brings his signature blend of local rhythm and global texture, Dhee lends her bold and distinct voice, and Hanumankind drops confident verses that tie it all together. The visuals match the energy, featuring glimpses of Indian art forms, heritage and urban landscapes.

Speaking about the collaboration, Ed Sheeran said, “I loooove Hanumankind and got to meet him at Coachella. Santhosh is one of the greatest film composers and introduced me to Dhee. I wanted to represent South India and the beautiful Tamil language, and they did an amazing job fusing it together.”

Sheeran’s Growing India Connection

This collaboration continues Sheeran’s ongoing creative link with Indian artists. Earlier this year, he joined Arijit Singh for Sapphire, a soulful track that drew huge attention online. During his Chennai concert, Sheeran performed with A. R. Rahman, blending Shape of You with the iconic Urvashi Urvashi, a performance that went viral overnight.

Now with Don’t Look Down, Sheeran has taken another step in connecting Western pop with South India’s evolving sound. For Santhosh Narayanan, known for his fearless experimentation in Tamil cinema, this is another proud milestone. His music has long mixed folk, funk and electronic layers, and here he finds a perfect balance between Tamil energy and Sheeran’s global pop appeal.

Dhee, who earlier made waves with Enjoy Enjaami, continues to carve her space as one of India’s most distinctive young voices. Her chemistry with Santhosh’s compositions shines again, while Hanumankind, whose Big Dawgs gained him international recognition, brings sharp rap delivery and swagger.

The song’s release has drawn widespread praise for its cultural representation and sonic freshness. Fans have called it “a global anthem with a Tamil heartbeat,” and the video has racked up impressive views within hours of release.

This collaboration not only strengthens Ed Sheeran’s growing ties with Indian music but also pushes Tamil and South Indian sounds into the international spotlight. Don’t Look Down is proof that language is no barrier when rhythm, emotion and artistry align.
