Terming the controversy over the PM’s visit for Ganpati puja as unnecessary, CJI D Y Chandrachud stated that such visits are social and judicial matters are never discussed. He emphasized the mature boundary between the judiciary and political executive in upholding judicial independence.

The ED also raided the office and residence of builder Manjunath’s office in connection with the MUDA case, in which Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah has been booked.

The police raid led to the seizure of ten sacks and seven boxes worth around Rs 5 lakh. They are currently investigating the matter
