The Indian Medical Association has suspended Dr. Sandip Ghosh, former principal of Kolkata’s RG Kar Hospital, amid a probe into the rape-murder of a trainee doctor. Ghosh is also being investigated for alleged financial irregularities and bribery. The CBI conducted a lie detector test on him last week as part of the ongoing investigation. This comes days after the CBI conducted a polygraph test on Sandip Ghosh.

In total, around 46,000 cases of ticketless travel and illegal tickets have been detected.
