US President-elect Donald Trump demanded a commitment from BRICS nations, including China, India, and Russia, to not create or support a new currency to replace the US dollar, threatening 100% tariffs and restricted access to the US economy if ignored. Trump’s warning follows BRICS’ discussions on ‘de-dollarisation’.

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar is set to update Lok Sabha on India’s developments with China, following a disengagement agreement reached on Oct 21 that restores pre-friction patrolling and grazing in Depsang and Demchok.
