Dunki actor Vikram Kochhar reveals Shah Rukh Khan gives cues off-camera

Actor Vikram Kochhar recently offered insights into his involvement in the movie Dunki, directed by Rajkumar Hirani and featuring an ensemble cast including Shah Rukh Khan, Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal, and Boman Irani. Sharing his experience collaborating with King Khan in Dunki, Kochhar highlighted their work dynamics during a recent interview.

In his interaction with ETimes, Vikram Kochhar emphasised the enriching experience of working with Shah Rukh Khan for the first time. He praised Khan’s thorough understanding of the script, enabling in-depth discussions during readings. Despite the initial awe of meeting him, Kochhar admired Khan’s ability to create a comfortable atmosphere, encouraging input and suggestions. The collaborative approach stood out in their scene development.


Acknowledging Shah Rukh Khan’s immense stature, Kochhar noted Khan’s humility, citing instances where Khan, despite his status, offered support during scenes, going as far as providing cues even when off-camera. Kochhar emphasised the importance of genuine emotions in scenes and lauded Khan’s profound passion for cinema.

Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki boasts a diverse ensemble, featuring accomplished actors like Boman Irani, Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal, Vikram Kochhar, and Anil Grover alongside Shah Rukh Khan, portraying vibrant characters. The film delves into the theme of illegal immigration, specifically exploring the concept of ‘donkey flight,’ which has sparked considerable interest online.
