Expected plot in Oshi No Ko Chapter 161

Oshi No Ko Chapter 161 will likely continue where the last chapter left off, as Aqua points a knife at his father. Aqua may attempt to kill his father, Hikaru in the chapter, however, given the story’s trajectory, it is possible that someone will intervene before Aqua can carry out the act.

Akane Kurokawa, who is still at Ruby’s home, may play a role in stopping Aqua. Additionally, Tsukuyomi – also known as the Crow Girl – could make an appearance, and her long-awaited significance in the plot may be revealed. Fans could learn her true purpose and connection to the ongoing conflict between Aqua and Hikaru.

Oshi No Ko Chapter 160 recap

Titled Eye, Oshi No Ko Chapter 160 begins Hikaru Kamiki denies any involvement in Ai’s death, claiming he never directly harmed anyone. While speaking with Aqua, he insists that he viewed Nino and Ryosuke as friends and merely discussed Ai with them, not realizing their dangerous obsessions.

Hikaru claims he sought their advice when he learned his ex-girlfriend was pregnant but did not visit her or involve himself directly. He further denies having any role in Ai’s murder, stating that he only asked Ryosuke to deliver a bouquet to her, lacking the courage to do so himself.

However, Aqua exposes Hikaru’s lies in Oshi No Ko Chapter 160, accusing him of intentionally driving Nino and Ryosuke into a state of madness. He asserts that Hikaru plotted to have Ruby killed, making him worse than a murderer by manipulating others without acting directly.

Aqua begins expressing his desire to eliminate Hikaru to protect Ruby’s future, stating that their “lying eyes” are meant to convey love. Oshi No Ko Chapter 160 ends as Aqua draws a knife on Hikaru, his father.

DMK’s Son-Rise? Udhayanidhi Stalin Plays Down Deputy Chief Minister Promotion

DMK’s Son-Rise? Udhayanidhi Stalin Plays Down Deputy Chief Minister Promotion

Udhayanidhi Stalin – the son of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin and the state’s Sports Minister – is set to be promoted to the Deputy Chief Minister’s post, sources told NDTV Wednesday, indicating that a formal announcement is expected from Governor RN Ravi’s office later this evening.

Speculation over Udhayanidhi Stalin’s promotion has been doing the rounds for the past few months; in August senior party sources told NDTV the party is considering the step as part of prepping for the 2026 Assembly election and to strengthen its second-rung leadership.

The Chief Minister’s son led the DMK’s campaign for the April-June Lok Sabha election, and the dominant showing – winning all 22 seats it contested – has added to the clamour for his upgrade.

Udhayanidhi Stalin also played a key role in the party’s successful 2019 Lok Sabha campaign and the 2021 Assembly election, in which the party swept 133 of the state’s 234 seats and dumped rivals All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (and its ally, the Bharatiya Janata Party) from power.

All of this is being seen as an answer to some (within the party) who thought Udhayanidhi lacks the experience and political acumen to command acceptance from the party’s veteran leaders.

Party sources also said the promotion for Udhayanidhi Stalin is being seen as a way to counter the entry of Tamil actor Vijay into politics. The hugely popular actor – whose legions of fans have named him ‘thalapathy‘, or ‘commander’ – launched his party, the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam, last month.

This morning, however, he refused to talk of his elevation, saying that only the Chief Minister could take that decision. He did, though, say “some leaders… want me as Deputy Chief Minister”.

In July too he underplayed talk of becoming his father’s deputy, declaring “all ministers in our government are ‘deputy chief ministers’.

Ahead of the expected promotion, the opposition has fired (a predictable) volley of criticism.

The AIADMK has slammed Udhayanidhi Stalin’s possible elevation as “dynastic politics”. The party also referred to ex Chief Minister M Karunanidhi – MK Stalin’s father and Udhayanidhi’s grandfather.

AIADMK spokesperson Kovai Sathyan also declared that naming Udhayanidhi Stalin as Deputy Chief Minister would “signal the end of the DMK”. “The party will split ahead of the 2026 election…” he said, claiming also that the Chief Minister, before the 2021 election, had said neither his son nor son-in-law (daughter Senthamarai Stalin’s husband, Sabareesan) would enter politics.

DMK sources, however, dismissed the allegation, pointing out Udhayanidhi had been “democratically elected” as a MLA. “Where (then) is the question of dynasty?”

There has also been criticism from the BJP, which has waved furiously at Udhayanidhi’s controversial comments about the “eradication of ‘sanatan dharma'” last year, for which he faces police cases.

Speculation over Udhayanidhi Stalin as Deputy Chief Minister ramped up last month after Tamil Nadu Welfare Minister Raja Kannappan referred to him as such at a public event.

He tried to correct himself immediately, declaring the reference would only be correct after August 19 but, in doing so, perhaps gave away another clue – the elevation will likely happen soon.

Pressed on this, the Chief Minister had then suggested that while there is no doubt (within the DMK too) that his son will succeed him, the timing was perhaps not right.

Asked by reporters, MK Stalin had said “the demand has grown stronger… but it has not ripened”.

A first-time MLA (he won the Chepauk-Thiruvallikeni seat, a DMK stronghold, by nearly 70,000 votes), Udhayanidhi Stalin is also the party’s Youth Wing Secretary, and has been credited with reviving its fortunes following the enrolment of several lakh youngsters.

As the Sports Minister, he organised the Chess Olympiad in Chennai and the recently-held Formula 4 night race through the city’s streets, as well as bringing hockey and beach volleyball tournaments.

Caste Survey, Rs 2,000 A Month For Women Among Congress’s Haryana Promises

A Rs 2,000 monthly assistance to women in the 18-60 years age group and a statewide caste survey are among promises made by the Congress in its manifesto for the October 5 Haryana election.

The state Congress unit released the manifesto today at a Delhi event attended by party chief Mallikarjun Kharge. Addressing the media, Mr Kharge said, “We are making seven guarantees and we will fulfill them. We have many more promises. They will be announced in the 53-page manifesto to be released in Chandigarh.”

Among the promises are LPG cylinders at Rs 500, Rs 6,000 pension for the elderly, widows and persons with disabilities and implementation of the Old Pension Scheme for government employees. The Congress has also promised 300 units of free electricity and free medical treatment up to Rs 25 lakh. To the youth, the Opposition party has promised 2 lakh jobs and an addiction-free state.

The Congress has also promised 100-yard plots for free for the poor to build homes. There is also a plan to provide two-room homes at Rs 3.5 lakh.

In promises targeted at farmers, Congress has said it will give a legal guarantee for Minimum Support Price for crops and provide immediate compensation for crop damage.

In its promises to ensure social justice, the Congress has said the creamy layer threshold in the OBC category will be raised from Rs 8 lakh a year to Rs 10 lakh a year. The party has also promised a statewide caste survey if it comes to power in Haryana.

Haryana Congress chief Udai Bhan said Haryana was the country’s topper in development during the Congress rule. “The Congress will again make Haryana No 1 in employment, industrialisation, agriculture, sports and law and order,” he said, adding that crime became Haryana’s identity during the BJP rule in the state.

The Congress is gearing up to take on the incumbent BJP in the election to Haryana’s 90-member Assembly. Votes will be counted on October 8.

In the 2019 state election, BJP had emerged as the single-largest party with 40 seats. The Congress had won 31 seats. The Opposition party, upbeat after its good show in the Lok Sabha election, is hoping for a comeback to power in Haryana this time.
