A 40-year-old woman from Sribhumi, Assam, became the first in the state to get Indian citizenship under CAA, with approval also granted to a 61-year-old man from Cachar.

Chief Minister announced the formation of an enquiry committee to investigate the cause of the chaos.

The investigation into the tragedy is continuing to widen, with the Goa Police recording over 60 statements so far.
