Disha Patani and Talwiinder go public with their relationship at Lollapalooza India

Disha Patani and Punjabi singer Talwiinder have officially put an end to weeks of dating speculation by making their first public appearance as a couple at Lollapalooza India in Mumbai. The duo turned heads on Sunday when they arrived at the music festival hand-in-hand, comfortably acknowledging the cameras and fans gathered at the venue. Videos of the two walking together quickly circulated online, with many calling it their long-awaited “official debut” as a couple.
Rumours about their relationship had been doing the rounds earlier this month after Disha and Talwiinder were spotted at Nupur Sanon and Stebin Ben’s wedding celebrations in Udaipur. At the time, the pair appeared keen on keeping a low profile and avoided being photographed together. They were seen arriving separately and mingling with friends, fuelling curiosity but offering no confirmation.
Their Lollapalooza appearance, however, left little room for doubt. From openly holding hands to later leaving the venue together in the same car, the two made no attempt to shy away from attention, signalling a clear shift from private to public.

Talwiinder Singh Sidhu, who goes by the stage name Talwiinder, is a well-known name in the independent Punjabi music scene. Born in Tarn Taran, Punjab, and partly raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, the singer is known for blending Punjabi music with global influences like hip-hop, R&B, trap and synth-pop. He has also gained attention for performing with face paint, which he has previously described as a way to maintain a boundary between his personal and professional life.
Since releasing his first tracks in 2018, Talwiinder has built a loyal fanbase through platforms like Spotify and YouTube. Songs such as Gaah, Dhundhala, Khayaal, Nasha and Wishes, his collaboration with Hasan Raheem, have earned him widespread recognition. In 2024, he released his debut album Misfit, further cementing his reputation as a genre-bending artist. He has also performed at major events, opening for international stars like Dua Lipa and G-Eazy, and was part of the Lollapalooza India lineup.
With their festival appearance now making headlines, Disha Patani and Talwiinder have clearly chosen to let their relationship speak for itself, front and centre.

Patriot First Look Unites Mammootty and Mohanlal in a Tech-Fuelled Espionage Spectacle

The makers of Patriot chose Republic Day to drop the film’s first look, and the timing could not have been more apt for a story steeped in themes of loyalty, power and national identity. Headlined by Mammootty and Mohanlal, the Mahesh Narayanan directorial unveiled a visually arresting release date poster that immediately set tongues wagging across social media.

A Republic Day Reveal With a Coded Message

The image features Mammootty, Mohanlal, Nayanthara, Fahadh Faasil, Rajeev Menon and Kunchacko Boban walking across what looks like a giant computer motherboard, turning the very idea of a nation into a circuit of data, surveillance and control. At the centre of the image is Mammootty, holding a tiny chip that appears to be the film’s central object of desire. The poster confirms that Patriot will hit theatres worldwide on April 23, 2026, instantly giving fans a concrete date to circle on their calendars.

The poster release followed a playful and clever campaign a day earlier, when the makers dropped individual character posters of the principal cast. Each carried the tagline “dissent is patriotic” along with the line, “In a world full of traitors, be a patriot!” To add to the intrigue, the release date was written in Morse code, inviting fans to decode it themselves. The interactive reveal only heightened the air of mystery around a film that seems deeply invested in the language of secrets, codes and hidden agendas.

Patriot marks the first on-screen reunion of Mammootty and Mohanlal in 17 years, their last collaboration being the multi-starrer Twenty: 20 in 2008. For generations of Malayalam cinema lovers, seeing the two titans share space again is not just a casting choice but an event in itself. The film went on floors in November 2024 and wrapped up its shoot earlier this month, signalling that post-production is now in full swing.

Inside a High-Stakes World of Power and Periscope

The scale and ambition of Patriot were first hinted at in the teaser released in October last year. The one-minute-plus video opened with Fahadh Faasil’s commanding voiceover: “There was a time when this nation was controlled by the two of them. Together. Over all these years, what they earned wasn’t just followers. Faith! Trust!” The line instantly set up a story about towering figures whose influence runs deep.

Mammootty’s entrance followed as a cool, controlled bureaucrat, whose unsettling idea of introducing a “social score” hinted at a sinister system of surveillance and manipulation. Mohanlal then appeared as soldier Rahim Naik, delivering the line, “There are three of us. Do you think you can stop us, sir?” His presence injected a pulse of defiance and danger into the narrative. Fahadh’s corporate shark, Nayanthara, Kunchacko Boban and Darshana Rajendran all flashed across the screen as the teaser circled around a mysterious programme called “Periscope”.

The final beat was pure meta thrill. Mammootty asks, “Great Indian traitor… or patriot?” before a fleeting but electric visual of Mammootty and Mohanlal together closes the teaser. In that moment, the film acknowledged exactly what it represents to its audience, a collision of two legends inside a glossy, high-stakes political thriller.

Beyond its stars, Patriot also boasts a formidable creative team. Produced by Anto Joseph with CR Salim and Subhash Manuel as co-producers, the film was shot across the UK, Sri Lanka, New Delhi, Hyderabad, Kashmir and Kochi, giving it a truly international canvas. Cinematographer Manush Nandan brings his sleek visual sensibility, while Sushin Shyam’s music promises a propulsive, modern edge. Mahesh Narayanan himself is on editing duties along with Rahul Radhakrishnan, ensuring the director’s vision remains tightly controlled in the final cut.

With its coded marketing, tech-heavy imagery and powerhouse cast, Patriot is shaping up to be more than just a star vehicle. It looks poised to tap into contemporary anxieties about surveillance, nationalism and power, all while delivering the big screen thrill of seeing Mammootty and Mohanlal lock eyes once again. April 23, 2026 just became one of the most anticipated dates on the Malayalam cinema calendar.
