The Enforcement Directorate’s (ED) ongoing investigation into an alleged coal smuggling syndicate has brought to light a possible connection with election-related activities in Goa, sources told NDTV.

West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee defended her interference during ED’s I-PAC raids, alleging the agency sought to “steal” her party’s data. She accused senior BJP leaders in Delhi of receiving “coal scam proceeds” and claimed the BJP won Maharashtra by “stealing the mandate” with EC’s help, aiming to do the same in Bengal.
