Wicked Sunny Begins A New Musical Journey With Long Way From Home Under Times Music

Wicked Sunny has opened a new chapter in his musical journey with Long Way From Home, the first single from his debut EP The Local Kid, released under Times Music. Featuring MC Square and Radhika Bhide, the track explores the emotional weight of leaving home, pursuing dreams in an unfamiliar city, and navigating the uncertainty that comes with ambition. Known for his sharp lyricism and distinct voice in Indian hip-hop, the Prayagraj-born, Mumbai-based artist delivers one of his most personal songs yet with this release.

The Local Kid is a five-track musical journal that chronicles the journey of a small-town boy trying to survive and grow in a big city. The EP captures silent struggles, unnoticed victories, heartbreaks, and moments of self-reflection. It begins with the homesick undertones of Long Way From Home and unfolds through tracks like Baawre, Big Drama, and Laal, before concluding with Udta Teer. Each song carries a unique emotional texture, making the EP best experienced as a complete narrative.

Speaking about the song, Wicked Sunny shared, “Long Way From Home is the most honest thing I have written. There is still a version of me sitting in a room in Prayagraj, thinking Mumbai is too far away. This song is for that boy, and for every kid who packed a bag with more hope than money.”

MC Square added, “The moment Sunny played me the track, I connected with it instantly. There’s a certain loneliness and hunger in the song that felt very familiar to me. I wanted my verse to sound lived-in and truthful, and I think we created something people will genuinely feel.”

Radhika Bhide said, “There’s a quiet ache in this song that stayed with me from the very first listen. I wanted the hook to feel intimate and comforting, almost like a voice from home you hold on to during difficult days. Collaborating with Sunny on this felt incredibly special.”

Long Way From Home is now streaming on all major audio platforms. The official music video is available on Times Music’s YouTube channel.

Dhurandhar The Family Man Crew Member Saini S Johray Accused in Alleged Rape Case Granted Bail

Dhurandhar’s production designer, Saini S Johray, has been accused of raping a young woman. The case was registered against him at Chandigarh’s Sector 17, and an FIR was filed under Sections 74, 79, 123, and 126(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
As per Punjab Newsline, Johray allegedly called the woman to a five-star hotel in Sector-17 on the pretext of discussing work, but later forced her to drink alcohol and assaulted her.
He was arrested by the police but was later granted bail by a district court, as per the publication.

What Did the Woman Accuse Him Of?

As per reports, the woman, originally from Khudda Lahore, currently resides in New Delhi, where she was studying at the Government College of Art in Chandigarh’s Sector 10 in 2025. That’s when her teacher forwarded her resume to Dhurandhar’s film team. Johray reportedly hired her as an Assistant Art Director on September 2, 2025.
The woman stated in her complaint that on September 10, Johray invited her to a hotel in Sector 17 under the pretext of discussing work. While she initially believed it to be a team meeting, the woman realised that no other member had been invited. She further alleged that Johray pressured her into consuming alcohol, and she started feeling dizzy and unwell minutes after drinking it. Following this, the accused touched her inappropriately under the pretext of teaching her dance moves, and her condition worsened.
Despite her repeated vomiting, Johray allegedly prevented her from leaving the room, raped her and assaulted her when she resisted.
The police reportedly registered an FIR on April 21, but the matter came to public notice quite recently. Saini S Johray has worked as a production designer and art director in other popular projects like The Family Man, The Night Manager and more.

Ranveer Singh Makes Vows at Chamundeshwari Temple After Kantara Controversy and Court Directive

Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh visited the historic Chamundeshwari Temple atop Chamundi Hills in Karnataka this week to offer prayers and perform rituals. His visit follows a directive from the Karnataka High Court regarding a legal case tied to his mimicry of a scene from the movie Kantara. During his temple visit, the actor participated in religious ceremonies and reportedly made personal vows.

Viral mimicry and sacred sentiments:

The controversy began last December during the closing ceremony of the International Film Festival of India in Goa. Ranveer faced intense public criticism after he imitated a sacred sequence from Rishab Shetty’s upcoming film. Observers felt the performance was insensitive. On the occasion, the Gully Boy star referred to the sacred daivas as ghosts. A video clip of the segment went viral online and sparked widespread backlash. At that time, Rishab Shetty himself said, “That makes me uncomfortable. While much of the film is cinema and performance, the Daiva element is sensitive and sacred.”

In April, the Dhurandhar 2 actor filed a revised affidavit with the Karnataka High Court in connection with the legal dispute. The court noted that the matter was nearing a resolution. It subsequently ordered Ranveer to offer prayers at the Chamundeshwari Temple within a four-week deadline.

Ranveer Singh’s apology after controversy:

Before the court case, the actor did issue an apology for his on-stage behaviour. “I have always deeply respected every culture, tradition, and belief in our country. If I’ve hurt anyone’s sentiments, I sincerely apologise,” he wrote on Instagram.

Huge impact of Kantara

The immense cultural impact of the Kantara franchise, led by Rishab Shetty, is well-known. The original film, released in 2022, became a massive pan-Indian phenomenon by blending intense action with deep-rooted regional folklore and indigenous spiritual traditions. Its 2025 prequel was an even bigger box office hit.
