Red Fort Blast: Alia Bhatt Ranveer Singh and More Mourn Victims Mika Singh Cancels Delhi Show

Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh and several other celebrities have condemned the Delhi Red Fort blast and mourned the loss of lives. The blast, which happened on November 10 near the Red Fort metro station, reportedly killed 13 people and injured several others.

 

Alia took to social media to express her anguish and sympathy for the victims. Sharing a note on Instagram, the Jigra actress wrote, “Can’t imagine how devastated the victims’ families would be feeling. May we find answers to this chaos soon. Praying for every soul affected by this tragedy. #RedFortBlast”

Delhi blast

Ranveer Singh too shared a message last night, writing, “Horrified by the incident that took place in Delhi yesterday evening. My condolences to the families of the bereaved.” The actor was supposed to launch the trailer of his upcoming film Dhurandhar today but postponed the event in the wake of the tragedy. An official statement shared by the team read, “The Dhurandhar trailer launch scheduled for 12th November has been postponed, as a mark of respect to the victims and families affected by yesterday’s Delhi blast. The revised date and details for the trailer launch will be shared soon. Thank you for your understanding. — Jio Studios, B62 Studios & Team Dhurandhar.”

Meanwhile, singer Mika Singh has cancelled his show in Delhi. He was supposed to perform at Soho Club. Moreover, Cocktail 2’s Delhi schedule has also been postponed. The film stars Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna.
Earlier, celebrities such as Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Karan Johar, Vijay Thalapathy, Sidharth Malhotra, Sonu Sood, Raveena Tandon, Ishaan Khatter, Arjun Kapoor and Prosenjit Chatterjee, among others took to social media to express shock over the Red Fort Blast.
Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata have been put on high alert after the blast.

Dharmendra discharged from hospital treatment to continue at home

In a relief to his fans and well-wishers, veteran actor has been discharged from the hospital. The 89-year-old was admitted to the Breach Candy hospital on October 31 after he reportedly complained of breathlessness. This morning, an ambulance was seen leaving the hospital for the actor’s home in Juhu. Following this, Dr Prof Pratit Samdani, who was treating the Sholay actor said that Dharmendra’s treatment would continue at home.
He told the media, “Mr Dharmendra ji Deol has been discharged this morning from the hospital at 7:30 am. His recovery will continue at home.”

His family also issued a statement confirming the same. It read, “Mr. Dharmendra has been discharged from the hospital and will continue his recovery at home. We kindly request the media and the public to refrain from any further speculation and to respect his and the family’s privacy during this time. We appreciate everyone’s love, prayers, and good wishes for his continued recovery, good health, and long life. Please respect him because he loves you.”

Several celebrities including Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan and Govinda among others had visited Dharmendra when he was admitted in this hospital. Meanwhile, on Tuesday, several news portals reported that the actor had passed away, following which his daughter Esha Deol and wife Hema Malini refuted the rumours.
Dharmendra made his debut in 1960 and quickly became a superstar. He was known for his versatility, mastering roles from the romantic hero to the tough action star. His career boasts over 300 films, many of which are considered classics today.
Some of his most memorable performances include the iconic role of Veeru in the cult classic Sholay, as well as memorable performances in Phool Aur Patthar, Seeta Aur Geeta, Chupke Chupke, Dharam Veer, and Pratigya. His natural charm and powerful screen presence earned him millions of fans worldwide.
