An accidental explosion at Nowgam Police Station in Srinagar killed nine people and injured 27 others. The blast occurred while processing a large cache of explosive substances and chemicals recovered during a terror module investigation. The ministry of home affairs has ruled out any terror angle, attributing the incident to the unstable nature of the seized materials.

Areas such as Wazirpur, Bawana, Rohini, Anand Vihar, Mundka, and Jahangirpuri reported AQI levels above 400, with Wazirpur peaking at 450.
