A YouTuber from Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district has been arrested for allegedly cooking the meat of a protected and rare species of monitor lizard and posting the video on social media platforms.

Investigators suspect a planned assault on CM Rekha Gupta, tracing the accused Rajesh Sakriya’s movements from Rajkot to Delhi. Sakriya, who arrived in Delhi on August 19th, visited temples and inquired about the CM’s residence before spending the night in a Dharamshala.

In a gruesome incident in south Delhi’s Satbari Khark village, Prem Singh, his wife Rajani, and their elder son Ritik were found murdered in their home. Police suspect the younger son, Siddharth, who is currently missing, is the prime suspect. Evidence suggests Siddharth, who was undergoing psychiatric treatment for obsessive-compulsive disorder and aggressive behavior, confessed to the crime before disappearing.
