A senior BJP leader in Pauri Garhwal, Uttarakhand, faces charges for incitement and religious insult after allegedly threatening to burn down shops of the minority community and harm them due to incidents involving ‘love jihad.’ The police have taken legal action, citing directives on derogatory speeches.

A 55-year-old businessman from Rohini lost Rs 21 lakh after being duped by scammers promising an assured MBBS seat for his daughter, who was a NEET aspirant. He transferred the money but received no further communication. Police are investigating the case.
