Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is in Saudi Arabia, dialled Home Minister Amit Shahsoon after a terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalagam that claimed a tourist’s life.

Twenty-seven tourists were killed and several injured when terrorists opened fire in a picturesque meadow near Kashmir’s Pahalgam town.

This attack, which was targeted, as the attackers checked if the tourists were non-Muslims, comes days after Pakistan army chief Asim Munir reignited the ‘two-nation theory’
