Violence erupted at the Jama Masjid in Sambhal, India during a court-ordered survey, resulting in three fatalities and numerous injuries. A mob gathered outside the mosque, clashing with police who responded with tear gas and lathi charges. The situation escalated with the mob allegedly firing upon officers, injuring several including the SP’s PRO and SDM.

Parliament’s winter session began with disruptions as the opposition clashed with the ruling party. Prime Minister Modi accused the opposition of obstructing proceedings, while the INDIA bloc demanded discussions on the Adani controversy and Manipur violence. Both Houses adjourned for the day after repeated disruptions.
