The Ministry of External Affairs has reaffirmed its efforts to normalise India-Canada relations again, reiterating that both nations are working towards deploying High Commissioners in their respective capitals.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted searches at 14 locations linked to Chhangur Baba, the alleged mastermind of a religious conversion syndicate, following a PMLA case. These searches, spanning Balrampur and Mumbai, uncovered a suspected Rs 100-crore foreign funding racket. Investigations revealed suspicious transactions, foreign remittances, and illegal land deals potentially financing mass religious conversions.

Meta has apologized to Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah after its Kannada translation tool made a serious error. The tool inaccurately translated a condolence message about actress B Sarojadevi’s death. The translation error caused public outrage. Siddaramaiah criticized Meta for the faulty translation. He also warned citizens about translation inaccuracies.
