Dozens of Greater Noida residents, including children, fell ill with vomiting, diarrhea, and fever after sewage contaminated the drinking water supply in Sector Delta 1. Authorities have repaired a leaking pipeline and distributed medicines, while residents fear a repeat of past tragedies and demand better infrastructure.

The IMD has also predicted very dense fog to persist over northwest, central, and northeast India, including UP, Punjab, and Chandigarh.

The event is scheduled to take place from January 21 to 23 at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi
