The release date for the musical romantic drama Chand Mera Dil is now officially set. Featuring a fresh pairing of Ananya Panday and Lakshya, the film will hit theatres on May 22, 2026. Directed by Rahi Anil Barve, the period folk horror film was released in 2018. Tumbbad tells the story of a man obsessed with finding hidden treasure in a cursed village. Set against the backdrop of colonial India, the film visually stunning and deeply haunting that blends greed, mythology, and fear perfectly. It starred Sohum Shah, along with Jyoti Malshe, Anita Date-Kelkar, Rohini Chakraborty, Mohammad Samad and Rudra Soni, among others. It was re-released in theatres last year and received a lot of appreciation from the audience.
Talking about his role, he said, “Tumbbad has always been a film I admired for its originality and atmospheric storytelling. When Sohum shared the vision for the sequel, I liked the story and joined them on their journey.”
