Carry On Trailer: Jason Bateman Blackmails Taron Egerton To Smuggle Dangerous Packages In Action Entertainer; WATCH

Do you find holiday romance films are overrated? If so, Netflix has an edge-of-your-seat action thriller that might be perfect for you this festive season! “Carry On” is a thriller set in an airport, focusing on a mysterious traveler (played by Jason Bateman) with hidden motives. He attempts to pass a dangerous package through airport security by blackmailing a young TSA agent (played by Taron Egerton).

The trailer starts with the introduction of Bateman’s character as he enters a shop selling Christmas trees in a black leather jacket and baseball cap and leaves after setting a dead body on fire. “There’s people in control, and there’s people that listen. I’m the guy you listen to,” Bateman says in voiceover.

The young TSA agent Ethan (Egerton) finds a miscellaneous earpiece through which he hears a voice command from the traveler. The latter blackmails him into green-lighting a dangerous bag post-security check by threatening to kill his girlfriend. “One bag for one life,” he says. “All you have to do is nothing.”

Apart from a criminal attempt, the film seems to hide a bigger context, which lies somewhere in questioning society’s systems while exploring the consequences of breaking them.

Sofia Carson, Danielle Deadwyler, Sinqua Walls, Logan Marshall-Green, Theo Rossi, Josh Brener, and Dean Norris round out the cast, in addition to Egerton and Bateman.

Collet-Serra, known for his work in Jungle Cruise, Black Adam, etc., has directed the film. He’s also among the executive producers, alongside Holly Bario, Brian Williams, Seth William Meier, Scott Greenberg, and Dylan Clark, who served as producers.

In a recent conversation with Entertainment Weekly, Egerton — acclaimed for his performance as Elton John in Rocketman — teased his character’s mindset in Carry On. “He’s unhappy at work at the airport and feeling flat and dejected about it,” he added.

Despite wanting to be a responsible provider and father to his unborn child with his girlfriend (Carson), he has a profound lack of fulfillment. “So when he’s put in this terrible situation, he has a huge occasion to rise to,” the actor added.

Carry On will be released on Netflix on December 13.

Madhuri Dixit- Shriram Nene Anniversary: When actress revealed her husband only recognized Amitabh Bachchan at their wedding reception

Madhuri Dixit ruled the 90s with her captivating smile, commendable dance moves, and eyes that spoke to the audience. For years, she enjoyed the love of millions of admirers from all over the globe.

But in 1999, she broke the hearts of scores of fans when she married Dr Shriram Nene in an arranged marriage setup. On October 17, the couple tied the knot in an intimate affair. As they complete 25 years of marital bliss this year, we take a trip down memory lane to the time when the Dhak Dhak Girl revealed her husband could only recognize Amitabh Bachchan at their wedding reception.

During an old interview with Rendezvous with Simi Garewal, Devdas actress Madhuri Dixit spoke about her husband, Dr Shriram Nene, and how he was oblivious to her Bollywood films and barely knew any B-town star. She stated, “I think the only star he recognized at our reception was Mr. Amitabh Bachchan. He had seen his film when he was in school and that was Amar Akbar Anthony.” The actress said that when Nene saw Big B, he was ‘I think I know that face.’ This was when she clarified that he had watched him in the iconic movie.

She also revealed in the earlier chat that since her husband was unknown about her stardom in India and her impressive filmography, she, along with her mother-in-law, made him see one of her songs, but in vain. When they insisted that he should watch the track, Mr. Nene blatantly ignored it and enquired if they could go out and do something else. When the host asked her what it was about him that attracted her, Dixit stated that on some grounds, they were very similar, and yet, in some ways, they were very different.

The Fame Game star further expressed that an actor carries baggage with them. But he had no preconceived notion about her that she thought wasn’t possible in India as almost everybody knew her. For the unknown, Madhuri and Shriram, a cardiovascular surgeon from Los Angeles, tied the knot at the residence of Dixit’s elder brother in Southern California. After getting married to him, Madhuri bid adieu to her acting career and relocated abroad for nearly a decade. The couple has two sons, Arin and Ryan.
