BMC officials inspected Unicontinental Mall in Mumbai and found an unauthorized temporary shed, after Shiv Sena workers vandalized Habitat Studio over comedian Kunal Kamra’s joke about Eknath Shinde. Habitat Studio temporarily shut down in response. An FIR was registered against key participants in the vandalism.

Uddhav Thackeray expressed support for Kunal Kamra regarding his ‘gaddar’ comment towards Eknath Shinde. Thackeray clarified that calling a ‘gaddar’ is not an attack. He disassociated Shiv Sena from recent vandalism acts, attributing them to the ‘gaddar sena.’ Meanwhile, a BMC inspection identified unauthorized structures at Kamra’s show venue for removal.

UP CM Yogi Adityanath rebuked Lucknow Police Commissioner Amarendra Kumar Singh, stating, “This horrific incident could have been prevented if the police had been alert and had kept a close watch on auto and e-rickshaw drivers as was done earlier.”
