During his visit to forward Army outposts in Bumla, Arunachal Pradesh, MP Kiren Rijiju engaged in a surprise interaction with Chinese soldiers, discussing the facilities available for dealing with harsh climates. Rijiju asserted that India’s border infrastructure is comparable to that of China, while mentioning the Chinese soldiers’ disinterest in sweets during Diwali exchanges.

Despite a complete ban on firecrackers in Delhi, numerous incidents of burns from firecrackers and related materials were reported across multiple hospitals. AIIMS treated 48 burn patients, Safdarjung Hospital saw 117 cases, and Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital documented 44 injuries. Many injuries were severe, involving ICU admissions, surgeries, and affecting children.
