BTSâ RM Reveals How He Convinced The Label to Keep The Explicit Lyrics From Jung Kookâs Song âSevenâ

‘Seven,’ a track sung by the South Korean singer Jung Kook of BTS, was a major hit, with its bold lyrics being a tribute to RM. According to sources, the label wanted to remove the explicit lyrics from the original track, but RM intervened and convinced the label to keep the lyrics as they are.

In a recent Interview with Rolling Stone, Jung Kook was asked about his major hit ‘Seven’ where he had collaborated with the American rapper Latto, and shared how he felt about the song’s explicit lyrics. “I wasn’t embarrassed,” Jung Kook (born Jeon Jung-kook), 28, said of the lyrics. “I just felt, ‘So what?'”

Then, RM stepped in and said that he was the one to intervene when label executives were planning to remove the explicit lyrics from the track and said. “I told the label, ‘Please don’t change! Why not? He’s all grown up.

Further, RM also emphasized the fact that Jung Kook was mature enough to be able to express himself freely as an artist, and added, “He can sing an f-word,” highlighting his belief in artistic freedom and expression. This decision finally allowed Seven to stay in its original and bold form, which later became one of the defining aspects of the song.
