THROWBACK: Why Did Prince William Take So Long To Propose To Kate Middleton Despite Meeting In 2001? Here’s The Story

A creatively planned marriage proposal surely makes a couple’s whirlwind romance story more special and it was no different for the royal couple, Prince William and Kate Middleton. The Prince of Wales asked his now, wife to marry him in an exotic location, Kenya!

It is not certain when the pair, who crossed paths in 2001 at the University of St. Andrews, exactly got involved romantically. But one thing is certain, Prince William took a long period to propose Middleton, which was in 2010. This great news was announced on November 16 of the same year.

Many question why the Prince of Wales took a long time to get on one knee. According to The Mirror, he “acutely” knew about the pressures of being tied to a royal member and he desired to give an opportunity to “back out” if Middleton felt that she wouldn’t have been able to deal with her life as a Queen.

In his interview with ITV’s Tom Bradby at the time he was engaged in 2010, he said, “I wanted to give her a chance to see in and to back out if she needed to before it all got too much.” The Prince of Wales added that he was attempting to learn from the past lessons and he desired to give Middleton the “best chance to settle in and to see what happens on the other side.”

The Mirror reported that Prince William popped the question during the pair’s trip to Kenya, where they spent time on a wildlife reserve’s cabin hut. It was also reported that the reserve was located around 10, 500 feet above sea level and it, “served as a stunning staging ground for his proposal.”

While conversing with Bradby, the Prince of Wales shared that they had discussed marriage for some time and he just took the decision when it was the right moment. He said that they had some private period with one another along with friends and he “just decided” that it was the correct time.

According to People magazine’s article, Prince William, who is preparing for his arrival in South Africa for his environmental initiative the Earthshot Prize, mentioned the reason why the aforementioned location holds a “special place” in his heart including his proposal to his wife saying, “Africa has always held a special place in my heart — as somewhere I found comfort as a teenager, where I proposed to my wife and, most recently, as the founding inspiration behind The Earthshot Prize.”

For the unversed, the royal couple tied the knot on April 29, 2011. They have birthed three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

BREAKING: Kannada filmmaker Guruprasad dies by suicide, body found in decomposed state in his apartment

Popular Kannada director Guruprasad has passed away at the age of 52. According to a report by Asianet News, the filmmaker committed suicide by hanging from a ceiling fan. His mortal remains were discovered in a decomposed state in his house in Madanaiyakanahalli area of Karnataka.

As per the report, Guruprasad lived in the house for the past eight months. Recently, his neighbors complained of a foul smell coming from his apartment and reported it to the authorities. Upon receiving the complaint, the police officials swiftly reached the spot and conducted an investigation.

After entering the house, the cops saw Guruprasad’s body hanging from the ceiling fan. The officials have reported that the filmmaker might have taken his life a few days ago. It has been speculated that the Kannada director might have been in debt and facing some financial difficulties, following which he decided to take such a drastic decision.

The Madanaiyakanahalli police have registered a case and conducting a thorough investigation into the matter to determine the circumstances that led to his death.

Meanwhile, initial reports suggest that the failure of his latest movie, Ranganayaka featuring Jaggesh, pushed him into a financial crisis. Unable to bear the brunt of its consequences, he took his own life.

Meanwhile, fans across the country are mourning his untimely demise. A netizen wrote, “Shocking! director Guruprasad has died by suicide in his Tata new haven apartment, Bengaluru. Reports state that his body was found hanging. It is further suspected he died at least 10 days ago.”

Another user wrote, “Very sad to see the passing of the director #Guruprasad who has given us some really good movies like #Mata and #EddeluManjunatha.”

Mumbai Cops Arrest 24-Year-Old Woman Over Death Threat To Yogi Adityanath

A 24-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with a threat message targeting Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, which said he would be murdered “like Baba Siddique” if he did not step down from the post within 10 days.

Mumbai Police arrested Fatima Khan after an investigation revealed that the message was sent from her number. Police sources said Ms Khan is highly qualified and has been suffering from mental health issues. The woman, it is learnt, holds a BSc degree in Information Technology, and lives in Thane near Mumbai with her family. Her father is into the timber business, sources said.

This comes after the Mumbai Traffic Police control room received a death threat against Yogi Adityanath. A WhatsApp helpline number of the control room received a message from an unknown number that said if Yogi Adiyanath did not resign in 10 days, he would be “killed like Baba Siddique”.

The latest threat message comes amid a wave of death threats received by cops in Mumbai over the past several weeks. Most of these targeted Salman Khan and threatened that the actor would be killed unless he paid a ransom. Against the backdrop of the firing outside the actor’s residence earlier this year, the cops tracked down senders of these messages and took them into custody. They include a vegetable seller from Jamshedpur and a tattoo artist from Noida. Mumbai Police have taken them into transit remand and are questioning them.

One of these threat messages named Zeeshan Siddique, Bandra MLA and son of Baba Siddique. The former minister was shot dead near his son’s office on October 12. Jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang has claimed responsibility for the murder.

The murdered politician was known to be close to Salman Khan, who has in the past received death threats from the Bishnoi gang, apparently due to his involvement in the blackbuck hunting case in Rajasthan during the shooting of Hum Saath Saath Hain. The Lawrence Bishnoi gang was also found to be behind the firing outside Salman Khan’s home in April. The actor’s security has been beefed up after the firing outside and death threats.
