Aamir Khan has a cameo in Rajinikanthâs Coolie?

Aamir Khan is currently making headlines amidst the Oscar campaign for Kiran Rao’s Laapataa Ladies. And now, it looks like he’s set to star in Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Coolie alongside Rajinikanth.

As per reports, Aamir Khan has a cameo in Rajinikanth’s Coolie. During an interview with a leading news portal, Lokesh Kanagaraj was asked about the Laal Singh Chadha star’s involvement in the film, and he chose to remain tight-lipped. He merely said that any Indian or international actor could play the role.

Lokesh also opened up about a possible collaboration with Aamir in the future. Calling himself a fan, he said that he would like to work with him. He also shared that he watched Laal Singh Chadha with him and gave him feedback. 

Coolie also features Nagarjuna, Upendra, Soubin Shahir, Shruti Haasan and more. The film is set to release in 2025.

Box Office: Suriyas Kanguva Rakes in Good Numbers on Day 1

Suriya’s pan-India film Kanguva is off to a good start at the box office. The Siva directorial stars the south superstar in a double role along with Bobby Deol, Disha Patani, Yogi Babu and others. As per early estimates, the film earned Rs 22 crore net approximately on Day 1. This made Kanguva the third-highest opening Tamil film this year, the other being Thalapathy Vijay’s GOAT and Rajinikanth’s Vettaiyan. This also marked Suriya’s best-ever opening.

This reincarnation drama has been made on an estimated budget of over Rs 350 crore. It follows two timelines, the current one and a timeline from thousands of years ago. Suriya plays the titular character, who is a tribal warrior prince and his reincarnation who is a bounty hunter in Goa. The makers hired experts from Hollywood for the technical departments like action and cinematography.

Heads Severed, Body Parts On Road: Party Ends In Deadly Crash For 6 Friends

Six people died a horrific death in a car accident in Uttarakhand’s Dehradun earlier this week as they were returning from a party. The incident took place around 1.30 am at the ONGC Chowk on November 12 when the car they were in collided with a truck, reducing their vehicle to a mangled wreck.

A disturbing video of the incident is doing rounds on social media which shows the impact of the collision was so strong that it tore off the Toyota Innova’s roof and twisted it. Two passengers were left decapitated in the incident. The visuals also show one of the victim’s head ripped off, while another person’s body can be seen twisted inside the crushed car. Several other body parts of the victims are also seen scattered around the road.

According to media reports, a group of seven friends were returning from a party that night and were drunk.

The victims were identified as Kunal Kukreja (23), Atul Agrawal (24), Rishabh Jain (24), Navya Goel (23), Kamakshi (20), and Guneet (19). While, the seventh person, Siddhesh Agrawal (25), who had reportedly hosted the party in Dehradun, is the sole survivor but remains in a critical condition, the police said.

While six victims hailed from Dehradun, Kukreja is from Himachal Pradesh, officials said.

According to the police, it was not immediately clear where the group was coming from and an investigation is underway.

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has expressed grief at the loss of lives in the incident.

“The news of the death of six youths in a road accident in Dehradun is extremely heart-rending. I pray to God to grant the departed souls a place at his sacred feet and give strength to the bereaved families to bear the immense pain,” he said.
