Anurag Singh, who is known for directing Kesari and Border 2, recently spoke about his admiration for filmmaker Aditya Dhar and the success of Dhurandhar and its sequel. In a recent interview, Anurag described the film’s success as a well-earned moment for Dhar and his entire team.

Sharing his thoughts on the film, Singh said he thoroughly enjoyed the experience. “I loved the film. The kind of work Aditya, Ranveer Singh, and the entire team have put in, it’s fantastic,” he said.
For Anurag Singh, what stood out the most was Aditya Dhar’s journey as a filmmaker. He highlighted that the film’s success is rooted in years of persistence, dedication and a strong sense of integrity. “Uski mehnat aur integrity ko reward mil raha hai, [His hardwork and integrity are getting rewarded],” he remarked. Singh also added that it is deeply satisfying to see such efforts being acknowledged by audiences.
The director also reflected on the negativity that surrounded the film before its release. He also believes that this negativity and trolling is something that has become increasingly common today. According to Singh, films are often judged even before audiences get a chance to experience them. Despite that, the eventual response to Dhurandhar reinforced his belief that strong cinema ultimately finds its audience. “Jab achhi film ko response milta hai, toh bahut achha lagta hai [When a good film gets positive response, it feels good],” he added.

For Anurag Singh, the film’s success is not merely about box office numbers. According to him, Aditya and his team received recognition due to honest storytelling and sincere filmmaking. Meanwhile, currently, director Anurag Singh is enjoying the success of Border 2. It starred Sunny Deol, Diljit Dosanjh, Varun Dhawan and Ahan Shetty in leading roles.
