Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has alleged that Bengalis are facing “atrocities” outside Bengal — especially in BJP-ruled states — and urged them to “come back”.

During the Lok Sabha debate on Operation Sindoor, BJP leader Baijayant Panda criticized Congress, pointedly mentioning Shashi Tharoor. Panda suggested the discussion would be more engaging if Congress allowed its capable speakers, like Tharoor, to participate freely. He noted Tharoor’s eloquence and expressed pleasure that he spoke in the national interest despite perceived restrictions from his own party leadership.
