The newly reconstituted Special Investigation Team (SIT) has questioned two of the most senior bureaucrats from the previous Bharatiya Rashtra Samiti (BRS) administration regarding the phone-tapping controversy in Telangana.

Days after the killing of youth leader Sharif Osman Bin Hadi, another prominent youth leader, Motaleb Sikdar, was shot in head on Monday. He was taken to hospital in critical condition. This incident escalates concerns over political violence amidst heightened tensions following Hadi’s death, which sparked widespread protests demanding justice.

Uddhav faction leader Anand Dubey said the Congress had lost touch with voters and failed to build a sustained grassroots presence.
