Trigger: The particular article contains information about sexual assault which might be triggering for some readers.

Actor Vinayakan, who rose to fame for his role in Jailer, was detained at the Hyderabad airport for allegedly misbehaving with the staffers. The incident took place at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport while he was traveling to Goa from Kochi. According to reports, Vinayakan was in an inebriated state when he got into an altercation with the airport officials.

The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) has to intervene to control the situation. However, the actor got into a scuffle and was immediately taken into custody. After taking Vinayakan into custody, CISF handed him over to the airport police. The police reportedly claimed that the Jailer actor created a ruckus even after being detained.

According to a report by Onmanorama, Vinayakan was released on bail after his misconduct incident. He even told the media that he was physically assaulted by the CISF officials.

He told Manorama News, “I do not know why I’m being taken into custody. I have done no wrong. The CCTV visuals can be checked for evidence.”

Vinayakan has often found himself in the midst of controversies. In 2023, he was arrested for causing a scene at the Ernakulam police station. He arrived at the station to address a personal matter, but things escalated when he allegedly lost his temper, reportedly under the influence of alcohol.

In the same year, Vinayakan faced legal trouble after making contentious comments following the passing of former Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy.

Also, during a press conference for the film Oruthee, the Jailer actor sparked controversy with his remarks on the #MeToo movement. He suggested that if merely asking for sexual favors is considered part of #MeToo, then he has engaged in such behavior. After facing widespread backlash, he issued an apology for his statements.

Badshah recalls getting depressed after watching Ranveer Singh and Sonakshi Sinha starrer Lootera; ‘I took a double dose of all my medicines’

Trigger Warning: The article contains mention of depression and anxiety.

Singer-rapper Badshah recently opened up about his battles with anxiety and depression, recounting a distressing incident sparked by watching the film Lootera. In a recent interview, the singer shared that he “doubled his dose of all medications” after watching Ranveer Singh and Sonakshi Sinha’s movie.

In a chat with The Lallantop, the rapper shared a difficult experience when watching Lootera worsened his anxiety. I watched Lootera and got depressed and had a lot of anxiety. I took a double dose of all my medicines. I woke up and called my doctor and told him, ‘A big problem has happened. I watched Lootera and I had a lot of trouble. So, I took a double dose of everything”. He consulted a doctor and in response, his doctor humorously advised “him to avoid watching Raanjhanaa”, another emotionally intense film.

The anxiety continued during his flight back to India, where he described feeling anxious and sweating excessively. His behavior raised concerns with his co-passenger, but he eventually calmed down by writing a song.

Upon returning to India, Badshah struggled with insomnia and sought help from his sister, expressing his distress: “Mujhe bachaa le, mujhe kuch ho raha hai” (Please save me. Something is wrong with me). This led him to consult a doctor, who diagnosed him with anxiety, depression, and disorder. Badshah began a regimen of medication and took six months to recover.

The singer recounted his first panic attack, which occurred while he was in London. He explained that just as he was about to sleep, he began experiencing palpitations and thought he was having a heart attack. In a panic, he ran outside and eventually took two sleeping pills to get through the night. It was only the next morning that he realized it had been a panic attack, marking the first time he had experienced such an episode.

Reflecting on his journey, Badshah shared that his family, especially his cousins, provided significant support during that time. He noted that there had been some emotional distance between him and his wife, but his cousins were there for him.

Although he has since recovered, Badshah still carries anxiety medication and emphasizes the importance of prioritizing happiness. He stated that being happy is essential in life, and sometimes being selfish to ensure one’s happiness is necessary. He added that many people are unhappy because they are not selfish enough to focus on their own well-being.

NSA Ajit Doval To Visit Moscow For Russia-Ukraine Peace Talks: Sources

National Security Advisor Ajit Doval will be travelling to Moscow this week to hold discussions aimed at resolving the Russia-Ukraine conflict, sources have said. This comes after Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Ukraine and met its President Volodymyr Zelensky and also spoke to Russian President Vladimir Putin over the phone.

Shortly after his trip to Ukraine, the Prime Minister had spoken to President Putin over the phone. A Russian Embassy statement said that during the phone call on August 27, Prime Minister Modi informed President Putin about his recent visit to Kiev and stressed India’s commitment to bring about a settlement for Ukraine by political and diplomatic means.

“Vladimir Putin shared his principled assessment of the destructive policies of the Kiev authorities and their Western patrons, and went on to highlight Russia’s approaches to resolving this conflict,” the statement said.

The Prime Minister’s Office said the two leaders exchanged views on the Russia-Ukraine conflict. “The PM shared insights from his recent visit to Ukraine. He underlined the importance of dialogue and diplomacy as well as sincere and practical engagement between all stakeholders to achieve an abiding and peaceful resolution of the conflict,” a PMO release said.

The Prime Minister reiterated India’s firm commitment to support an “early, abiding and peaceful resolution of the conflict” on his official handle on X.

Last month, the Prime Minister was in Ukraine and met its President Volodymyr Zelensky. During the meeting, the two sides discussed the Russia-Ukraine conflict that escalated in 2022. During the the discussions, the Prime Minister said, “India was never neutral, we have always been on the side of peace.”

President Putin has named India among the three countries Russia is in touch with over the Ukraine conflict.

“We respect our friends and partners, who, I believe, sincerely seek to resolve all issues surrounding this conflict, primarily China, Brazil and India. I constantly keep in touch with our colleagues on this issue,” Putin said.

Other world leaders, too, are of the view that India can play a key role in finding a resolution to the Ukraine conflict. Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni yesterday held talks with Ukraine President Zelensky and said India and China can play a role in finding a solution to the conflict. “China and India have a role to play in resolving the conflict. What must not happen is to think that the conflict can be resolved by abandoning Ukraine to its fate,” she said, according to reports in Italian media.
