The main suspect in the murder of Baba Tarsem Singh, Amarjit Singh aka Bittu, was killed in an encounter with the Uttarakhand STF in Haridwar. Amarjit had a reward of Rs 1 lakh on his head and was involved in multiple cases, including the killing of Nanakmatta Gurdwara’s ‘karseva’ chief.
