Veera Dheera Sooran: SJ Suryah lauds pre-climax scene ft Chiyaan Vikram and Suraj; calls it ‘extraordinary’

Chiyaan Vikram who is gearing up for the release of his movie Thangalaan is currently shooting for his next called Veera Dheera Sooran. Now, actor SJ Suryah who is playing a key role in the film has heaped praise on the director and a recent pre-climax scene they shot in Madurai.

In an Instagram post penned by the actor, he lauded a scene he shot with actors Chiyaan Vikram and Suraj Venjaramoodu. He wrote, “Last night dir Arun Kumar sir shot an extraordinary episode. Before shoot he rehearsed this episode on the location with his assistant and team about Ten days and then brought Us (actors) to the location.”

The actor further added how all three of them had also rehearsed at the location for three days and finally shot the scene early morning. Additionally, the actor praised the director by saying he’s a strong disciple in the world of art.

Check out the Instagram post made by SJ Suryah:

The upcoming film titled Veera Dheera Sooran: Part 2 is a two-part action thriller with a prequel movie set to be made subsequently. The film features Chiyaan Vikram as the main lead with actors SJ Suryah, Dushara Vijayan, Suraj Venjaramoodu (in his Tamil debut), and Siddique playing key roles.

The post made by the Mark Antony actor also seems to confirm that he will be playing the role of a police officer in the flick. Previously, a couple of glimpses from the movie were dropped by the makers offering an intriguing look into the film’s world.

Coming to Chiyaan Vikram’s next release, the actor is soon to be seen playing the lead role in Pa Ranjith’s directorial Thangalaan. The film set in the British Raj period features the versatile actor as a tribal leader who helps out the army in excavating gold from his village’s mines.

However, their actions leave an apparent sorceress furious who stands in their way of finding their gold. The upcoming movie is slated to hit the big screens on August 15, 2024, with actors Malavika Mohanan, Parvathy Thiruvothu, Daniel Caltagirone, and many more in key roles.

Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha Box Office Collections: Ajay Devgn starrer shows no DUM, collects Rs 1.75 crore on Day 1 in India

Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha Box Office Collections: Ajay Devgn starrer shows no DUM, collects Rs 1.75 crore on Day 1 in India

Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha, starring Ajay Devgn and Tabu in the lead roles, gets off to a dull start at the box office. The romantic thriller directed by Neeraj Pandey collected Rs 1.75 crore net in India on its first day. Co-starring Jimmy Shergill, Shantanu Maheshwari, and Saiee Manjrekar, the movie became the lowest opener for Ajay Devgn since 2010.

Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha disappoints on the opening day; BOGO didn’t help

The Ajay Devgn and Tabu starrer failed to make any noise at the box office on its opening day. The makers had also announced incentives of Buy-One-Get-One before its release, but that too didn’t help in giving it the much-needed momentum. The movie could only mint Rs 1.75 crore net in India on the opening day, of which 65% came from the three national chains – PVR, Inox, and Cinepolis. The multiplex chains alone contributed Rs 1.20 crore and Mass Maharaja was left with no audience in B&C centers. While the music composed by MM Keeravani is being lauded, the final product ended up being a tiring watch.

The first collaboration of Ajay Devgn and Neeraj Pandey doesn’t show any groom to work in the long run. The negative word of mouth and initial public reception almost sealed its fate. Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha was a no-show almost everywhere. It’s sad to see an Ajay Devgn starrer taking such a low start. However, the message is clear that the makers went wrong in assessing the audience and delivered an outdated product.

Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha recorded the lowest opening for Ajay Devgn since 2010

The intense love story directed by Neeraj Pandey turned out to be the weakest Ajay Devgn starrer in recent times. With an opening of Rs 1.75 crore, Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha became the lowest opener for Ajay Devgn since 2010.

Previously, Devgn’s Runway 34 and Maidaan had recorded such low openings and sent shockwaves in the industry. While the former opened with Rs 3.06 crore, the latter could clock Rs 4.25 crore, that too on the Eid festive weekend.

Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha not only lagged at the box office but also let down the audience in delivering quality content. Had it opened with a good public talk, it would have legs to work in the long run.

About Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha

The story of Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha runs parallelly in two different timelines: one in 2001 and one in the present day, that is 2024. Krishna (younger version played by Shantanu Maheshwari, older version played by Ajay Devgn), who had been jailed for the alleged murder of 2 civilians, is all set to be released from jail after 22½ years. He is afraid to step out since he doesn’t know whether he wants to see his old love Vasudha (the younger version played by Saiee Manjrekar, the older version played by Tabu) outside the jail on the day of his release or not.

Gradually, we understand the kind of relationship Krishna and Vasudha shared and how they ended up being lovers who were circumstantially torn apart. Watch Auron Mein Kaha Dum Tha to learn what went behind Krishna’s arrest and how Vasudha spent her life waiting for Krishna.

Centre Removes Paramilitary BSF Chief, Deputy “With Immediate Effect”

In an unprecedented move, the Centre on Friday removed Border Security Force (BSF) Director General Nitin Agrawal and his deputy Special DG (West) YB Khurania and sent them back to their state cadres “with immediate effect”, according to a government order.

Mr Agrawal is a 1989-batch Kerala cadre officer, while Mr Khurania belongs to the 1990-batch of the Odisha cadre. Mr Agrawal had taken charge as BSF chief in June last year. Mr Khurania, as the special DG (West), was heading the formation of the force along the Pakistan border.

Separate orders issued by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet said they were being “prematurely” repatriated with “immediate effect.”

Constant infiltration from the International Border is one of the factors behind the Centre’s move, sources said. There have been complaints against the BSF chief over critical matters including alleged lack of coordination, sources said.

“Lack of command and control within the force and lack of coordination with other sister agencies led to his repatriation,” a senior officer said, requesting anonymity.

“Premature repatriation to the cadre of two very senior officers is definitely a strong message from the government to the forces to get their act together,” the officer said. “In light of heightened actions in south of Pir Panjal, of which the BSF holds a chunk of the International Boundary, the buck stops with the DG and Special DG BSF,” the officer added.

This is for the first time that heads have rolled in terror related cases. Even after the Pulwama attack in 2019, no known accountability was fixed by the Home Ministry.

The BSF has some 2.65 lakh personnel and guards the borders with Pakistan in the west and Bangladesh in the east.

The government’s move comes amid its decision to roll out a new security matrix for Jammu and Kashmir to counter targeting of civilians and military personnel and camps by terrorists in recent weeks and months, including an attack on an army camp in Rajouri last week, in which one soldier was injured.

In fact, in the past two months, attacks and ambushes have become regular events, particularly in the southern reaches of Pir Panjal, an area in which the spectre of terrorism had lain dormant for a long time. Among recent scares there was an operation in which two army officers were killed and two Pakistani terrorists, one of them a Lashkar-e-Taiba sniper and explosives expert, eliminated.
