The 3-year-old girl fell into the borewell near Kasar village in Madhya Pradesh while playing in an agriculture field at around 5 pm.

Two teams of Kannur Defence Security Corps have also been instructed to move to Wayanad to assist in the rescue efforts.

12 people were injured after about ten coaches of a train bound for Mumbai in Jharkhand early this morning.

The accident occurred at 3.45 am near Badabamboo, around 80 km from Jamshedpur.

“The Mumbai-Howrah Mail and a goods train are involved in the accident,” a Railways official said.

The injured were given first aid by the Railways’ medical team, he said, adding that they have now been taken to Chakradharpur for better treatment.
