Venkatesh Commences Shooting for Trivikram Srinivasâ Film

Venkatesh is riding high on the blockbuster success of Sankranthi Vasthunnam that released earlier in the year. Buoyed by the film’s widespread acclaim, the actor has signed another film with ace director Trivikram Srinivas. And the principal shooting of the film commenced in Hyderabad on Wednesday.

Venky-Trivikram, an exciting combo

Tentatively titled Venky#77, the film has huge expectations. The film is Venky’s follow up project after blockbuster Sankranthi Vasthunnam. Additionally, the film also brings together the exciting combination of Venky and Trivikram. Venky starred in two blockbuster films Nuvvu Naaku Nacchav (2001) Malliswari (2003). And Trivikram happens to be the screenwriter for both the films. Although this is the first time Trivikram is directing Venky, given their earlier successful track record, the trade finds it exciting. A source close to the unit informs us that the director has readied an entertaining script that’ll appeal to all sections of the audiences. The script has Venky’s swag and mannerisms weaved around Trivikram’s candy floss humour quotient. Produced by S Radha Krishna under the Haarika & Hassine Creations banner, the film was formally launched in August.

Trivikram back at the helm

“Venky and Trivikram’s collaborations have yielded some of Tollywood’s most memorable blockbusters, blending iconic storytelling with star power. Since this pairing has produced beloved films, trade is betting big on this project that holds the promise of a massive hit,” says a trade analyst.

Trivikram Srinivas’ last directorial was Guntur Kaaram (2024), starring superstar Mahesh Babu. He was supposed to direct a film with Allu Arjun initially, but that didn’t materialize. The ace filmmaker also began work on a mythological drama with Jr NTR. Even though he commenced writing for the high-budget extravaganza, given Jr NTR’s commitments, the project has been pushed to next year. But before commencing that film, the director will wrap up Venky’s film.

âSab Mujhe Dekh Rahe Hain…â- Anil Kapoor Reveals Ranbir Kapoorâs Reaction When Shamshera Flopped

Recently, Anil Kapoor talked about his discussion with Ranbir Kapoor during the filming of Animal, about Shamshera’s flop. He also shared some words of wisdom with Ranbir on the experiences of success and failure.

Talking to an entertainment portal reporter, Anil said, “I remember when I was shooting on the sets of Animal. Ranbir came there, and his film Shamshera had just been released. He was very down and said, ‘Sab mujhe dekh rahe hain. Itni badi flop di hai maine.’ (Everyone is looking at me. I’ve delivered such a big flop.) I told him, ‘Ek acha shot dete hai, kal tak bhul jayega.’ (Let’s just give a good shot. You’ll forget everything by tomorrow.)”

Elaborating further, he added, “We were doing a photoshoot, and I told him, ‘Don’t take it to heart, man.’ You’re just imagining that people are looking at you or thinking about your flop. Success and failure are not in your hands. Once you’ve accepted what happened and you’re doing honest work, you forget about it all. That’s what happened, by the next day, we were jamming and discussing things with the director.”

He concluded, “There is always going to be noise. People are going to say things about you and write things about you. It’s very important to block that noise. It took me more than 45 years to learn this. Earlier, it used to affect me as well, and I’m sure that happens with the youngsters too. That’s why I tell them, ‘Kuch nahi hai yaar. Kal tak sab bhool jaane waale hai.’ (It’s nothing. Everyone will forget it by tomorrow.)”

Roshan Mathew and Zarin Shihabâs Ithiri Neram First Look Promises a Tender Tale of Second Chances

Almost two years after it was first announced, Ithiri Neram has finally revealed its first official poster, introducing audiences to its leads, Roshan Mathew and Zarin Shihab. The poster captures the two walking along a roadside, their calm expressions hinting at a shared past and emotions yet to unfold.

A Love Story Returns to the Screen

In their caption, the filmmakers described the project as one “made with passion, sweat and tears,” calling it a love story that everyone can relate to. The tagline, “First love gets a second chance,” sums up the film’s promise — a look at how people and relationships evolve with time.

Roshan Mathew shared the image on his Instagram Stories, describing Ithiri Neram as a “small film with a big heart.” The film is directed by Prasanth Vijay, known for Athisayangalude Venal and Daayam, both praised for their emotional depth and offbeat storytelling. Prasanth’s style typically blends realism with tenderness, and this new project seems to continue that approach.

The Team Behind the Film

Written by Vishak Shakti, Ithiri Neram features a strong ensemble that includes Anand Manmadhan and Nandu alongside the lead pair. The movie is being presented by Jeo Baby and produced by Jomon Jacob, Dijo Augustine, Einstin Zac Paul, Vishnu Rajan, and Sajin R Raj. The production houses behind the project are Mankind Cinemas, Einstin Media, and Symmetry Cinemas.

On the technical front, Rakesh Dharan serves as the cinematographer, while Francies Louis handles editing. The film’s music and lyrics are composed by Basil C J, whose work is expected to enhance its emotional tone.

Director Prasanth Vijay’s earlier films have been screened at major festivals, and reports suggest Ithiri Neram might follow the same path before its theatrical release. The film was reportedly previewed at the Mumbai Film Festival earlier this year and is also expected to be part of the International Film Festival of Kerala lineup.

Though the makers have not yet shared a release date, they confirmed that Ithiri Neram will reach theatres soon. The quiet charm of the poster and the grounded tone of the team’s statements suggest a story rooted in emotion rather than spectacle — a reminder that even small films can carry big feelings.
