THROWBACK: When young Rishi Kapoor said he would consider himself lucky to see his children work in Bollywood

Rishi Kapoor hailed from the Kapoor family in Bollywood, which entertained audiences for four generations. He starred in back-to-back hits during the ‘70s and ‘80s, gaining nationwide recognition. During that time, he was asked if he would like his children to enter showbiz, and the actor requested the audience to welcome his children with open hearts and accept them like they did other for his family members.

At the peak of success in his career during the ‘80s, Rishi Kapoor sat down for an interview with ITMB shows in 1987. During the conversation, the interviewer asked Rishi, as acting runs in the blood of their family, if he would like his kids to join showbiz. In his reply, he expressed that he would feel grateful if his kids got the same love and acceptance that audiences gave him and his family members.

The Mulk actor said that he begs the audiences with folded holds to bless them so that they can continue to entertain the audiences with their craft in return for the love they have received. Rishi added, “Agaar mere bacche bhi iss film industry mein aana chahe toh aap unhe bhi open heart se welcome kare aur aapna aashirwad de. (If my kids want to come into the film industry, then please welcome them with open hearts and bless them.)”

Further, in the interview, he was asked if he would get angry over their decision to be a part of Bollywood. But, the actor shared his experience and jokingly said, “Mere pitaji ne koi danda leke mere saar pe toh mara nahi tha ki tumhe filmo mein kaam karna hoga. (My father didn’t beat me up with a stick and asked me to come into films)” For the unversed, his father, Raj Kapoor, made his debut film, Bobby, which made Rishi an overnight star.

Furthermore, he expressed that if a person has both craft and luck, it’s an ideal combination for a successful career. Rishi took a jibe at himself and quipped that even he was in the industry due to his luck, not his craft of acting.

Rishi Kapoor’s son, Ranbir Kapoor, who debuted in 2008, has established himself as a successful actor. On the other hand, his daughter, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, is a fashion designer and an entrepreneur.

A collaboration is brewing between Lana Del Rey and Jack Antonoff. This news will make her fans rejoice and high with happiness as the songstress tied the knot with Jeremy Dufrene. It appeared that she will soon be back with her art that will allegedly have a country vibe to it.

Antonoff conversed with Time and confirmed their collaboration. While talking about it, the producer said that it was the story for some other time. Antonoff, who was staying secretive about this project shared, “The reason why I don’t talk about things until they’re out is very succinct: I like to let the music be the first entry point for people.”

He continued, “I don’t want to rob anyone of their experience of hearing it without context.” Antonoff said that the moment one begins to discuss upcoming work, the “seed” is planted in people’s heads.

However, this isn’t the first time the duo has worked together. He has previously contributed to Norman Fu***ng Rockwell, Chemtrails Over The Country Club and Did You Know There’s A Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd, which were released in 2019, 2021, and 2023 respectively.

As per the publication the Happiness Is A Butterfly vocalist announced during the Billboard and NMPA Songwriter Awards, “If you can’t already tell, the music business is going country,” adding, “We’re going country. That’s why Jack has followed me to Muscle Shoals, Nashville, Mississippi over the last four years.”

The Say Yes To Heaven singer has been in the headlines for quite a while and that is mostly because of her wedding to the alligator tour guide. Many of the singer’s fans have been posting about it on social media platforms and have been discussing the same as well.

Along with Lana, Antonoff also has a solid work relationship and friendship with Taylor Swift, with whom he has been collaborating for a long time. It appeared that the Wildest Dreams vocalist was always there to support her pal.

Prashant Kishor Launches Party Before Bihar Polls, Vows To End Liquor Ban

Former election strategist Prashant Kishor’s long-pending entry into electoral politics came today with the formal launch of his Jan Suraj group as a political party. The Jan Suraj Party is expected to contest in all seats of Bihar in the next assembly election.

Mr Kishor, who talks of changing the paradigm for voting — shifting it from caste and electoral sops to a vision for the future — has said who heads the party will be a decision of the people who worked for the group over the last two years.

For more than last two years, Mr Kishor has been travelling across the state, raising awareness about what he says ought to be election agenda.

Earlier this year, he had announced that he was ready for a formal launch as a political party. His Jan Suraj, he had said, would offer the people a fresh alternative.

“In Bihar, in the last 25 to 30 years, people have been voting for RJD or BJP. That compulsion should end. The alternate should not belong to any dynastic party, but people who wish to form the party,” he had said.

Mr Kishor had started the Jan Suraj initiative after a brief stint in the ruling Janata Dal United of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and the Congress’s aborted effort to recruit him to revitalise the party.

Offered a slot on the party’s “Empowered Action Group” after extensive talks in 2022, Mr Kishor had declined, with pointed remarks about the Congress’s lack of “collective will to fix deep rooted structural problems”.

He had launched the Jan Sena with a yatra and says its conversion to a political party is only the halfway mark on his journey.

Mr Kishor has said he aims to visit every village in Bihar to educate residents on improving their living standards and those of their children, encouraging people not to vote under pressure from misguided leaders and work towards the progress of the state on key parameters including education, agriculture, and employment.

The next stage of his initiative would be presenting a blueprint of solutions for the challenges Bihar is facing, he has said.
