Actor-director Anupam Kher’s film Tanvi The Great, is set to return to cinemas this month. A moving yet joyful celebration of courage, inclusivity, and family, the film comes back as a rare entertainer that audiences can enjoy together across generations.
Starring debutant Shubhangi Dutt, the film was first released in July this year. It touched hearts across the country and was specially screened for national leaders, including the Hon’ble President of India Smt. Draupadi Murmu, Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi, and state Chief Ministers. Tanvi The Great earned immense respect for its unique story and stirring performances.
It will now return to cinemas on September 26.
At its heart lies the inspiring journey of Tanvi Raina, a spirited young girl with autism who discovers her late Army father’s unfulfilled dream to salute the flag at the Siachen Glacier. Determined to fulfill it, she embarks on a life-changing mission that blends laughter, innocence, and resilience.
Anupam Kher shared, “This film is not just about patriotism—it is about love, family, and second chances. It was overwhelming to see the admiration it received, but I believe its true destiny is to be experienced by families together in cinemas.”
Veteran actor Jackie Shroff, who plays an important role in the film added, “Some stories make you laugh, cry, and dream at once. Tanvi The Great is one of those rare films that brings families closer.” Boman Irani reflected, “It reminds us that everyday heroes are often the ones in our homes, quietly carrying their strength with love.”
Shubhangi Dutt, who played Tanvi, said, “This film is my dream come true. It’s tender, fun, and powerful, and I’m grateful to be part of a story that can touch every family.”

Although the theatrical run of Mirai is coming to an end, the action adventure continues to receive love and appreciation. While several personalities from Tollywood have endorsed the film via social media posts, on Tuesday, it was Allu Arjun’s turn. The icon star is always in the forefront when it comes to appreciating films. After the actor recently heaped praises on small film Little Hearts, he has lauded Mirai.

In a lengthy social media post, Allu Arjun lavished praise on Teja Sajja-starrer Mirai. He congratulated the film unit for brilliantly crafting the action adventure with passion and conviction. The actor praised the film for its technical brilliance, and commended all the technicians. He made a special mention about the teams that were behind CG, VFX Art, Mixing, and of course the pulsating music. Adding that he had great respect for director Karthik Ghattamaneni’s commendable work and his cinematic vision, Allu Arjun described him as a ‘new-age commercial director.’ The Mirai team is elated with the post as the words of praise have come from one of the best actors in the industry. The latest post further validates the efforts Mirai team has put in to pull off the fantasy adventure.
Released on September 12, Mirai opened to a glowing response! In the first week, the film had collected Rs 65.1 crore, with lion’s share coming from the Telugu version. Surprisingly, Mirai did not perform as expected in Malayalam, Tamil, Karnataka and Hindi. The total collections of Mirai at the Indian box office amounted to Rs 80.75 crore. In overseas, the film has collected more than $2 million dollars. Mirai catapulted Teja Sajja into an elite league, he became only third Telugu actor after Jr NTR and Prabhas to have two films to cross the milestone in the US.
