After creating intrigue with its stark first announcement, Anubhav Sinha’s ASSI has now unveiled its motion poster, making the film’s intent clear and impossible to ignore. Led by Taapsee Pannu, the film features a powerful ensemble cast including Kani Kusruti, Revathy, Manoj Pahwa, Kumud Mishra and Zeeshan Ayyub with special appearances by Naseeruddin Shah, Supriya Pathak and Seema Bhargava. From the very start, the campaign has stayed away from spectacle or comfort, choosing instead to confront audiences with an unsettling reality.
We forget. We forgive. But not this time.
80. Per day. Every day.#Assi – An urgent watch, only in cinemas from 20th Feb.@taapsee @anubhavsinha @_gauravsolanki #BhushanKumar #KrishanKumar @kani_kusruti #Revathy #manojpahwa #KumudMishra @Mdzeeshanayyub @naseeruddnshah… pic.twitter.com/YdchWeOKwC— T-Series (@TSeries) January 23, 2026
The promotions began with minimal yet chilling text posters. Lines like “Eighty. Per Day. Every Day.” immediately sparked discomfort and conversation, followed by a poster that featured only the title and its release date, February 20, 2026. What truly stood out was the decision to highlight the writer as the highest paid member of the team, a rare move that underlined the film’s focus on truth, writing and accountability.
With the release of the motion poster, ASSI removes all ambiguity about its direction. The film presents itself as a gripping investigative drama rooted in the courtroom. Rather than offering easy conclusions, it raises unsettling questions about guilt, responsibility and silence, pushing viewers to reflect on whether not knowing is genuine or simply a choice.

Backed by T-Series and produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar and Anubhav Sinha under Benaras Mediaworks, the film marks Sinha’s return to socially driven storytelling. Set for a worldwide theatrical release on February 20, 2026, ASSI does not just ask to be watched. It demands to be confronted.
