Syrian President Ahmed Sharaa will visit Washington, US Special Envoy to Syria Tom Barrack said on Saturday, in what would be the first visit by a Syrian head of state to the US capital.

A viral video shows an Indian woman crying and pleading with US officers, claiming she “forgot to pay” for items. The incident, which the TOI could not independently verify, echoes a previous case where an Indian tourist was arrested for shoplifting nearly $1,000 worth of goods. US authorities warn that such offenses can lead to visa revocation and future ineligibility.

The incident took place near the Lakshmi Complex in Sadashiva Nagar when a group of miscreants emerged from the crowd during the procession and began stabbing people.
