A nostalgic Karan Johar travelled back in time as he took to his socials to post some behind-the-scenes videos from the set of Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani as he paid a loving tribute to Dharmendra. He shared heartwarming moments from his journey with the legend. 

 

Other cast members, Ranveer Singh and Anjali Anand, have also posted their tributes on the social media platform by sharing their own cherished photos from the sets, remembering Dharamji’s warmth, charisma and generosity. Their tributes come as the industry mourns his death. Dharmendra passed away earlier today at the age of 89, leaving behind a timeless legacy that continues to resonate across generations.

Ananya Panday Says Her Father Gave His First Shot With Dharmendra

Veteran actor Dharmendra, one of the most beloved and celebrated figures in Hindi cinema, passed away earlier this morning. The legendary star, often referred to as the He-Man of Bollywood, was 89 years old. He breathed his last at his residence in Mumbai. Dharmendra had been admitted to Breach Candy Hospital earlier this month due to respiratory complications. His passing has left a massive void in the hearts of his family, colleagues, and countless fans across the country.

 

As condolences poured in from all corners of the industry, Ananya Panday took to her Instagram stories to mourn the demise of the icon. Her tribute was a series of personal throwback pictures, highlighting Dharmendra’s close connection with the Panday family over the years.

In her first Instagram story, Ananya shared a collage of Dharmendra’s black and white photographs from his younger acting days. The images perfectly showed the charm and handsome persona that made him a superstar. Ananya paid her respects with the caption: “The Greatest. Om Shanti.” 

 

The second story was a truly special glimpse into the family’s past. It featured wholesome pictures from the wedding celebration of Ananya’s parents, Chunky Panday and Bhavana Panday. The photos show Dharmendra in attendance, posing happily with the newly married couple and family members. This image shows the strong personal bond and friendship that existed between Dharmendra and the Panday family, even beyond the film sets. It highlights the kind of lasting relationships Dharmendra maintained in the industry.

 

Ananya also shared stills from her father Chunky Panday’s debut film, the 1987 action-drama Aag Hi Aag. Chunky had the privilege of sharing screen space with Dharmendra in his very first film. The pictures show the two actors together, looking energetic and full of promise. Ananya added a heartfelt note explaining the importance of this memory, “My father’s first film and first ever shot on camera was with Dharam ji. Forever special, forever in our hearts.”
