“Thought It Was Nut, I’m Traumatised”: Mumbai Man Finds Finger In Ice Cream

This one is not for the faint-hearted. Mumbai doctor Orlem Brandon Serrao ordered an ice cream online on Tuesday, and got an extra “topping” he hadn’t bargained for – a human finger.

Mr Serrao, who lives in the suburbs of Malad, had ordered the ice cream cone online from Yummo Ice Creams. He was left traumatized when he felt something in his mouth that appeared to be a nut, but turned out to be a finger.

A photo shared online shows a human finger sticking out of the ice cream.

Mr Serrao shared his harrowing experience in a video statement and said he luckily did not swallow it.

“I had ordered three cone ice creams from an app. One of them was a butterscotch ice cream of Yummo brand. After eating half of it, I felt a solid piece in my mouth. I thought it could be a nut or a chocolate piece and spat it out to check what it was,” said Mr Serrao.

Shocked and disgusted, he dashed to the Malad police station with a complaint and the ice cream. A case has now been registered against Yummo for food adulteration and endangering human life.

The cops have sent the ice cream for investigation and the finger for forensic analysis.

The presence of a body part in the food item has also raised suspicion of a bigger crime, which the police are investigating.
